My coworkers may think these pants are a bit "out of the box" and they are a little less subtle from anything that I've tried before, but I can't seem to stop wearing them. I've already worn these dressy-sporty pants three times aside from this post (here, here and even once for a business event with a navy blazer).
They are really comfy, on-trend, and I adore the print - even though they've been called my "MC Hammer" pants. In fact, I like these pants so much that I also ordered them in the solid black. I guess I can't help it if the MC was ahead of his time and we flow on the same sartorial wavelength (and if you are the 0.0001% of people who have not yet seen the MC's breakout jam - and those pants - please stop for some Hammer time here).
Shirt: Lands' End gingham poplin (worn here - sim, sim, steal)
Pants: J.Crew turner in hidden floral (worn here - same in solid & medallion print, sim in black)
Necklace: c/o Simply Livly (worn here - sim, grander)
Bracelet: Ann Taylor modern classic turnlock cuff (worn here - same in snake & leather, sim, deal)
Shoes: Michael Kors hamilton (worn here - sim, pricey)
Bag: J.Crew factory (worn here - sim deal, pricey)
MC Hammer new his fashion! lol. I love those pants! I can't wait to see how else you style them!

Hey I'm a big Hammer fan from waaay back, so I agree!
DeleteThese pants are SO cute on you, I totally get why you wear them over and over. I'm not bold enough to wear those printed ones but I'm waiting for a good sale to try the black pair, after seeing these on you. From the description the 25" inseam sounds kind of short for petite sizing (my usual), did you stick with petite sizing for yours? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Vicky - I ordered these in my usual JC size in petite. I thought they'd be a tad short myself, but I guess that depends on how high you pull up the pants with the elastic waist. I know some reviews said they run large but I tried my usual size and one size down and though one size down did fit, I felt better in my usual size as the material has zero stretch and I was afraid of tearing a seam or something if I moved too much, hehe. HTH!
DeleteGreat pants!! :)

DeleteI love the pants ! and i can relate to this as when I picked up my first black and white printed mc hammer style pants I wore them at least once a week for 2 months--- and still wear them !
ReplyDeleteComfortable and stylish? It's too easy sometimes, hehe.
DeleteI think these pants are epic. Maybe they'll become your signature piece, the ones your grand kids will say they want to inherit! Who knows? You look chic as all get out in them.

The good/bad about these pants is that they are memorable - people at work already regale at the arrival of the Hammer pants every time I wear them, haha.
DeleteI love the pants! And I love the print mixing in this outfit!
