Hey, look at me, wearing printed pants! I think other than camo, these are pretty much my first printed pants ever. Yep, just call me Miss Adventurous here. I've had small forays into red skinnies, green khakis, and a few other hues before, but when it comes to pants, I'm mostly pretty basic black or blue.
When J.Crew debuted this print a while ago, I adored it but my initial reaction was to reach for the skirt version. So when I finally talked myself into them (with the help of my fellow bloggers - all looking so good in their patterned britches), unfortunately my size was all sold out. I figured it was Ye Ole Gods telling me that those funny printed baggy pants were not for me.
And then J.Crew had a massive % off sale promo a few weeks ago and lo and behold, these pants were in the sale section and my size was magically available. So it was meant to be, right? And maybe it was also meant for me to buy this sweater to go with the pants ... and hell, at this point, the brooch too. The cool necklace from Simply Livly? That was just topping, but made for a perfect finishing point!
Sweater: AT Loft colorblock boatneck (sim, cardi)
Pants: J.Crew turner in hidden floral (same in solid & medallion print, sim colorful)
Necklace: c/o Simply Livly silver metal fringe
Pin: AT Loft blue fringe
Rings: F21 cutout twisted set & c/o JewelMint (sim)
Shoes: Jessica Simpson jaide (worn here - sim, sim)
So I go on blogging comment hiatus for a couple of weeks and when I come back, what do I find but my stunning style hero ding her thing with accessories once again! Only you, Lisa, can make both a necklace and a brooch look fit and fine together. And those pants? Oooooh, girl! Rock 'em hard! :D
ReplyDeleteYou flatter me much, girl, thanks much!

I know it - thanks!
DeleteI love these pants and the print too! With all of your ingenious pattern mixing, I can't believe these are your first pair of pattern pants! You should definitely get more! :)
ReplyDeleteGood thing printed pants are on-trend right now - I may need to consider more. But small steps for me!
DeleteI have some patterned pants but they are not very adventurous. I typically gravitate towards a skirt version when I like a print from J Crew. I think you did so well with styling these pants. Love that you can pull off the necklace & brooch!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I host a weekly TBT Fashion link up on Thursday and hope that you will join me.
