As basic as it may seem, I think the gondola stripe collection is one of the most striking group of pieces that J.Crew had ever come out with. It's colorful and contrasting and classic at the same time. I wear this blouse to death and wish I had gotten the midi skirt version and even the bold coat that I don't think I could pull off anyways. I know this print briefly came out at the Factory stores but unfortunately that skirt version was kind of mini. So I'll scour Ebay and hope for something in my size to hopefully pop up - and yes, knowing me, if I can find the skirt, I'll likely attempt a full-on blue and white stripe ensemble. Nothing beats the red, white and blue, right?

ReplyDeleteThe Gondola top looks great with jeans!
ReplyDeleteI kind of regret not getting something of that print too. The Limited has a pencil skirt that's very very similar.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying hard not to get that skirt, but I do adore this print!
DeleteI'm loving the double stripes! Fun seeing all the ways you've styled this top!

Adorable! I'm wearing that top today! There's nothing better than red, white and blue and especially if it's striped!!!
ReplyDeleteHigh five, girl!
DeleteYup! I agree! I love the Gondola stripe. I have the coat and I love it. I love the top too. I really like red though, I don't see red very often at J.Crew. I love this look on you. Cute cute. The bag and the heels are great!

I know what you mean - JC is way into the orangey-red hue or a berry, but hardly a true red.
DeleteAhh! What a bummer you missed out on the skirt - I'm a big fan of matching tops and skirts, it looks totally classic and 80's-in-a-good-way! At least you got the top; it's super cute on you. This may sound weird but have you ever worn it with white jeans? For some reason I think that might look really nice... and kind of fourth of July...
ReplyDeleteI actually don't have white jeans! I have a phobia about white pants, I keep thinking the day I wear white pants is the day I'll sit on a freshly painted park bench or an entire bottle of ketchup will up-end of my lap. Neurotic, I know!
Deletei love this print and have the skirt. i keep feeling i should have gotten the top! lol. :P

DeleteI love the shirt underneath the other shirt. It looks really cool. I like the necklace with it too. It makes it so girly.
