Gilded Estates Gone Dotty
The purply pinkly hue of these shoes and bag match so perfectly well together that I can't seem to pair one without the other. It's way too easy for my matchy-obsessed self. And of course I always seem to want to wear these pieces when I reach for this Anthro skirt - which I also wear all the time paired with black and white, so this whole color combo has been repeated many a time already (like here and here). Hey, if it works, why fight it, right?
Are there particular items in your wardrobe that you feel like need to go together?
Sweater: Lands' End (sim, sim)
Top: J.Crew factory printed pintuck (worn here - sim, jersey, ruffled)
Skirt: Yoana Baraschi via Anthropologie gilded estates (worn here - sim, white/blue, as dress)
Earrings: J.Crew crystal shimmer (worn here - same design as shoe clips, sim, steal)
Bracelet: Banana Republic (worn here - sim, sim)
Ring: F21 (sim, sim)
Shoes: Guess kissani (worn here - sim, plain)
Bag: Brahmin anytime (worn here - sim, sim, steal)

Um. Yes. To everything. That is all.
ReplyDeleteI really like the polka dots with the skirt. Great idea. I always find myself matching accessories. It is like i can't NOT do it. :)
ReplyDeleteHow do you like Brahmin's quality? I have been interested in one, but have not seen them in person yet.
I have two Brahmin bags and I highly recommend them. They're structured so they hold their shape well - plus I see then often on Ebay so you can likely find the one you like for a steal!
DeleteLove that skirt and the color of the bag and shoes is one of my favorite colors right now.
ReplyDeleteMe too - it's like fuchsia but a bit more purply.
DeleteThat skirt is gorgeous!

Agreed!
DeleteI know what you mean (maybe it's my OCD-ness?)

It's def my OCD-ness! ;o)
DeleteYou know what, I find myself doing the same, combining items that I already know work together to create new outfits. At first it felt like I was cheating, and then I thought, you know what? What it actually *means* is that I'm developing a style of my own. When you can create all these combos that remind you of each other, isn't that just a positive sign that you know exactly what your style is?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I love this outfit, and I squee every time you use those shoes with that bag, because they really are perfection together! :)
I adore these shoes, though honestly they aren't the most comfortable!
DeleteThis skirt just looks fantastic on you!
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is gorgeous, and I always love pink and blue together :)
ReplyDeleteIt's good to have some outfit "formulas" to fall back on some days :)
Away From The Blue
You are always so creative with your print mixing, I love this!

Beautiful skirt. I like how the pattern matches up at the waistband.
ReplyDeleteThese colors are gorgeous together--I'd pair them up all the time too! And yes, actually what I wore today was one of those kinds of pairings: a navy blue striped top that I always want to wear my red wedges with.
ReplyDeleteRed, white and blue - how perfect together!
DeleteI go crazy over those shoes every time you wear them--the color and bow are just so cute! Love them with your blue skirt too :)
ReplyDeleteI kid you not, but I have the same top and skirt and I thought about pairing them together last week! I think that just proves that they were meant to go together. You look great Lisa and I love the pink accents! I usually wear this skirt with a pop of yellow, but I am going to have to give pink a try!
ReplyDeleteGreat minds, girl ...
DeleteI am the same way with a lot of my clothes. I always love seeing this skirt on you...so much that I bought one off ebay last year. And I have only worn it with black and white as well. Thanks for the style inspiration - I need to copy this outfit.

I think you look fab in this skirt - the shade of blue with the bold print is too perfect, imo!
DeleteOh yes, as much as I try not to be matchy matchy, there are always those things that are just too perfect to ignore. Plus the mismatch of the prints offsets it anyway, I think.

For some reason, when I wear brown/tan leather, I've got to match it or it drives me nuts!
DeleteLove the mix of prints, very chic!
ReplyDeleteamazing! i love the blue and bright pink such a gorgeous color combination!
