Boardwalk Linen Two Ways
This lovely polka dotted skirt has not gotten enough love from me. I've shamefully only worn this piece once since I purchased it on sale last year. So when the factory store came out with a copycat version, I was reminded that I had this easy-going piece (I know, my closet is sometimes a black hole where clothes are hung up and simply absorbed) and made a point to wear it more often. Here are two of my recent iterations for this skirt - how would you recommend wearing this piece?
Sweater: J.Crew factory textured charley (sim, sim)
Skirt: J.Crew boardwalk linen (worn here - factory version, sim as dress)
Brooch: Broochmaker & Lilywinkel (sim luxe, random but sim as necklace)
Bracelets: INPINK pink glitter barnacle (worn here - sim, sim ) & Love Andrea's Closet (sim, sim)
Shoes: Zara block heel (worn here - sim, flats)
Bag: Coach poppy demi (worn here - sim, deal)
Top: J.Crew factory short-sleeve pajama (worn here - same spotted, deal)
Skirt: J.Crew boardwalk linen (worn here - factory version, sim as dress)
Bracelet: Glitterbox Jewelry (sim, silver, pricey)
Rings: F21 (sim & sim)
Shoes: Vince Camuto ellington (sim, deal)
Bag: Madewell pochette (worn here - same desert stripe & nubuck stripe, sim w/strap)

amazingly cute skirt- love both looks!
ReplyDeleteI love those flowers!
ReplyDeleteI really like it paired with the pink best but I could easily see this paired with some of your orange/coral items.
bisous

Ooh, good idea!
DeleteSuch a cute skirt! I like both ways you've worn it, it would look good with a lot :)
ReplyDeleteAway From The Blue
I love it! Both looks are fantastic. I bet this skirt would also look great with yellow, or green!
ReplyDeleteYes! Blue and green are a great combo, thanks!
DeleteI don't think I can recommend any other way to wear this but the way you've done - that hot pink ensemble sings to my bright-lovin' soul while the striped shirt makes the pattern-mixer in me beam with glee. That said, I can picture this skirt with florals for more pattern mixing fun or with blazers and scares when the season turns.
ReplyDeleteNow you're thinking like a varsity-level pattern mixer! ;o)
DeleteI love both ways you've styled it here. It would look cute with a white t-shirt, cute flat sandals and a big sun hat...beach style!
ReplyDeleteOh that sounds lovely, especially the beach part!
DeleteI love both of the ways you styled the skirt! The pink with the floral pin is especially cute!
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is so cute! A simple white tank or even some chambray would look great with it, as well. Orange would be fun.
ReplyDeleteIf clothes need to get lost into closets, at least it is kinda fun when they are rediscovered. It is like a whole new item! At least that is what I tell myself... It helps with the guilt ;)
Haha, true!
DeleteI love this skirt with the stripes! I bet it would be great with a white tank or button up and some sandals for summer!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute skirt! I love it with the bright pink! And don't worry...things get buried in my closet too!

Both of these are fun, I love it with the pink. I think it would be fun with heels and a blazer or a tee and jean jacket.
ReplyDeleteYes, I need to break out my denim jacket!
DeleteI love the Jcrew top with the floral broaches. So fun and vibrant! Cute pairing!
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job styling it! The stripes and polka dots are super cute together!

I love both ways you styled it! Althought the pink sweater with the flowers is too cute! I would probably do a white tank and a bright statement necklace...you know white tees are my fallback :)
ReplyDeleteTrue, you can't have enough perfect white tees, they literally go with everything.
DeleteI love both of them! I think it would look great with a solid colored v-neck or boat neck tee and one of your always-fabulous necklaces!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love the pajama top with that skirt. It is so cute. That skirt is great. I have a similar skirt I have only worn twice. Now I am wondering why.

Sounds like time to break it back out! ;o)
DeleteI love it both ways...especially with the stripes! It would look really cute with mint too I think :)
ReplyDeleteI love the pink sweater with it! The Charley sweaters are my favorite! I think they go with everything. Yellow may be a fun color to pair with this skirt too!! Or maybe a white tank and a yellow cardigan? Have a great week! Susan
ReplyDeleteOnce again, you are adorable!
