For those of you ladies who have been checking out my blog for a while, you know I adore "cheat" clothes. Those are the pieces that are soft, stretchy and oh so easy, it's like home clothes that masquerade as outside clothes.
This sweatshirt dress is a perfect example of "cheat" clothes - it is way too easy to put on and soooo comfortable. I may have napped in this piece over the weekend, then fluffed my hair, grabbed a purse and gone right out.
What are your "cheat" clothes?
Dress: Gap eyelet-back floral sweatshirt (sim print dif silhouette & here, as top only)
Necklace: GroopDealz (worn here - sim, brighter)
Bracelet: INPINK pink glitter barnacle (sim, sim)
Ring: F21 (worn here - sim, set)
Shoes: Zara block heel (worn here - sim taller, strappier for a deal)
Bag: Coach legacy flight (worn here - sim, sim, brighter)
Sweatshirt dress? Yes, please! I think I need one, too. It's so cute!
ReplyDeleteYou do! So comfy!
DeleteSuch a great dress! You are making me want to head right over to gap.com to buy one for myself! I have a sweatshirt-material from Gap that I purchased this fall and it is definitely a "cheater" piece for me. I have to try not to wear it once a week.
ReplyDeleteI adore cute dresses and jackets in fleecy/terry material. They are tooooo easy!
DeleteMmmm, that looks so comfy! Basically anything light and cotton does it for me.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a pretty dress! Bonus that it's comfortable too! :)
ReplyDeleteI like maxi dresses and maxi skirts - you can laze around in them at home but they look so put together when you step outside, haha! :)
Away From The Blue
You've got comfy and chic dressing down!
DeleteThat looks SO cute on you! I ordered the navy and white eyelet and I sent it back :( It just did not look good on me, more like a sack. Maybe I should have tried a smaller size. It was OH, so comfy though. Seeing it again on you, makes me want to try again.
ReplyDeleteI love it with your Coach. Perfection!
Try it again! #totalenabler ;o)
DeleteYyyyesssssssssssss! This looks amazing and I love that it is basically "cheat" clothing!
ReplyDeleteI just want ALL your coach bags! Waaaaaah.
ReplyDeleteThe Coach flight bags are perfect for me - too bad they stopped making this style! Wah, indeed!
DeleteOMG, cheats are the best. Anything knit, anything with an elastic waistband, those are my cheats for sure. I recently picked up a cotton knit maxidress and it's like wearing a nightgown! I love the blue and white with the necklace.
ReplyDeleteI'm wearing a PJ top as a real top today - is that liking cheat dressing too, or is that too much leaning towards the "plain lazy" category? ;o)
DeleteThe print is so pretty and that is awesome that it's sweatshirt material!

Ooooh a sweatshirt dress?!!?! How awesome! Love the print!
ReplyDeleteohmygoodness, I adore this dress!! My cheat clothes are anything ponte or jersey. I only wish it weren't so hot where I lived so I could actually wear something like this!
ReplyDeleteKate @ A Journey in Style
Stretchy knit dresses are awesome for warm weather!
DeleteThis dress is amazing!! The print is so pretty! I wouldn't have even known it was a sweatshirt dress just from the photos. I bet it's so comfy!
ReplyDeleteI have a sweatshirt dress from the Gap that really looks like a sweatshirt (it's grey). My other cheats: maxi dresses, some of the anthro chemises, skirts with stretchy waistbands...
ReplyDeleteI wore a leopard print dress from Banana Republic two days ago and the waist was pretty constricting. I was glad to have it off when I got home.
I have a bunch of lovely structured pieces that don't get a load of wear because they're constricting! Why should I wear a dress I can't pick my arms up in? Who do that to myself? ;o) (BC it looks good ...)
DeleteI love the eyelet detail in the back! This dress looks so comfy too!

Jeans and a Teacup
So cute. And I've gradually gotten into "cheat" clothes too. I have a couple of sweatshirt dresses as well and love them. So comfortable!
ReplyDeleteHigh five!
DeleteI have a black/white striped pullover from JC that I would consider "cheat clothes" :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I've decided that I just need to raid your closet already! Darling!
Sequins&Stilettos
I can't believe this is a sweatshirt!! It's gorgeous! And I would totally nap in it too.
ReplyDeleteMy cheat clothes are all of my maxi dresses. I wish I had known about those gems in college - I would have worn those to class instead of my sweats!
Ugh, don't remind me of college! Class-day dressing was the worst! Let's see what's the most terrible thing I can put together in three minutes to go to class in!
DeleteOh my gosh! That's a sweatshirt?! You get an A+ for cheating!
ReplyDeletexo,cynthia
I love the dress! specially the detail on the back.
ReplyDeleteI have a couple of soft cotton striped dresses that would quality as cheat clothes.
Love the eyelet details on the back of this dress. I just bought a J Crew top that has an eyelet back and really love it. My cheat clothes has to be maxi dresses.

I kind of resemble a couch or wallpaper pattern, but if so, I'll just consider this dress as "granny camo."
DeleteThis is my favorite! I love the detail on the back. And the ability to take a nap in it?! Great dress!
ReplyDeleteJenni
"May have" I know exactly what you mean.. *wink* wink*. That's exactly why I love sweatshirts. That necklace is gorgeous! I'm off to check it out.
ReplyDeleteI love that you call these "cheat clothes." This dress is so cute, I may have to check out the Gap.
ReplyDeleteMy cheat clothes would be polo and t-shirt dresses, comfortable yet nicer than sweats.
That necklace is beautiful by the way. You mentioned that it is from GroopDealz, but is it a particular brand?
Have a nice evening,
Stacey
Lisa, it may be a cheat, but it looks down right gorgeous on you. Love the patten ,

After reading your description, I'm pretty sure I only wear cheat clothes. I'll take stretchy knits over wovens any day! I really love this color combo. Pale pink and blue were my parent's wedding colors, some 30 years ago. I love looking through their wedding day photos and how they sprinkled those lovely colors throughout the day. And this outfit reminds me of that. So pretty!
