I've always been drawn to some combination of blue and white punched up with some rosy citrus hue (see here), so it was pretty easy recently to lean towards my favored combo again, this time using a lighter blue and coral-y shade of pink. Makes me think of blooming flowers and warmer days without going too literal, even though the weather hasn't exactly been cooperating recently.
What sweet combination of colors can you not get enough of this spring?

I'm traveling right now, ladies, so I'll be catching up with your comments and posts laters. Have a good week!
Love these colors together and love the skirt version (I am a total skirt/dress person)!
ReplyDeleteSpring always makes me go to stripes (which are almost always navy and white, for me) and that makes me go to RED! I guess I'm a beachy girl at heart. :) Love these pretty colors on you!

I can't get enough of cobalt. Or orange. Or cobalt and orange. It may be a bit passe and so last season, but I was always a late-on-the-bandwagon kind of girl.
ReplyDeleteOooooh, traveling! I hope you post fun travel pics. I've always liked taking pictures of cows. Don't ask. 0_0

I grew up in NYC - when I first moved out of the city, I was totally that girl who would scream in the car whenever I saw some sort of animal!
DeleteSo pretty! Both of these look super chic and effortless!

This is such a pretty color combination and that stunning necklace ties everything together! Lately I've been on a yellow kick, just can't get enough.

I honestly didn't even own anything yellow until I started blogging, but I love bright sunny yellow - what a great warm weather color.
Deletehmm, lately i've been going a lot of gray on gray, as in sweatpants and sweatshirt. today i'm really switching it up with rainbow plaid pj pants. i love working from home.

White - everything WHITE!
ReplyDeleteI love white but I am always scared too wear too much of it - I am a random ketchup stain magnet!
DeleteI love both looks, but that coral skirt is gorgeous! Hope your trip is going well.

I caved and got a knock off fan fringe for $20. Well, since I haven't received the shipping confirmation yet, I HOPE I'll be getting a knock off fan fringe. You have sold me on it!!!

Awesome! I think you'll get tons of wear out of the necklace.
DeleteOur weather isn't cooperating either so I've been obsessing over navy & yellow. Not totally Springy but feels appropriate for the bipolar weather we've been having lately. Love your coral skirt!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels!
This is a gorgeous color combo, love it! I've been doing a lot of blue and green recently :)
ReplyDeleteI am loving cobalt and emerald together! And of course, classic black and white. Not your typical spring colors but still timeless.

Coral is definitely one of your colors! It looks great paired with the stripes. A color I've been obsessed with lately is yellow. :)
ReplyDeleteLove that colour combination! I'm not sure what my spring colours will be yet, I'm still transitioning, but I'm sure there will be some element of turquoise involved. :)
ReplyDeleteNice shirt and necklace!

Lisa--I have been such a "respect the shoes" blog lurker for the past few busy months. But let me say, I always come away with the most lovely ideas. You have such an imaginative approach to getting dressed that is both creative and functional. I just love it. I wanna dress like you when I grow up. :) Right now, I'm obsessed with the color combo of navy and any shade of green.
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks, Kristina. That means a lot coming from you - you've got an impeccable sense of style and a genius creative sewing and design talent!
DeleteBeautiful colors together, so fun and spring/summer! I've been trying to find a particular color of blue for a couple years and didn't realize scuba blue J.Crew matchstick jeans was it. Also in love with all the happy colors in the tresco floral print.
ReplyDeleteI always seem to have to buy at least one new pair of JC chino shorts each season - you'd think they wouldn't be able to come up with anymore colors, but they keep doing it. I got the mint/spearmint color this time.
DeleteBoth variations are amazing. You look great!
