These DIY'd wedges have proven to be more versatile than I initially would have imagined. They are awfully sparkly though, so I'm kind of glad I refrained from gluing even more rhinestones to the sandals. I kind of want to bedazzle another pair though, maybe I'll try a more cas pair of flats next time - glam cas!

Finally an outfit with the DIY sandals! I love them, and it's just as well you didn't glue more rhinestones on - they are just right, and look super classy. Any more, and we might be heading into Mariah Carey territory, haha! :P Did you use a glue gun? I bought one recently, and aren't they just awesome?!
ReplyDeleteOh, and you look really cute - I like how the sandals are the main attraction, but those shorts are so cute, too!
I just purchased some loose rhinestones in settings via Etsy and then some super glue from the local market - worked like a charm and I'm surprised I haven't lost any stones yet!
DeleteI've fiddled with a glue gun before - and managed to burn myself slightly and glue fingers together, hehe.

After I did the shoes, I did think, wow, I could sew these rhinestones on clothing or glue them on bags and had to reign myself in a bit. Otherwise I would become the old lady from those '80s Bedazzler commercials!
DeleteThose shorts! I seriously need a pair, stat.
ReplyDeleteThe chino shorts are my fave, I buy a new hue pretty much every warm weather season. I have no idea how JC comes up with new colors that give me the grabby hands.
DeleteYour DIY wedges look like they came directly from the store!
