Reading Graceling. Think Game of Thrones with a literal ass-kicking female lead. Yes, I can't seem to get over the YA fantasy genre but so far this has been a fun read.
Nesting. During my last visit to Target, I actually spent more time perusing couch pillows than discount dresses. Maybe there's a bit of hope for me in the home decor arena yet.
Eating Chipotle. Chicken burritos will always be a perpetual face-stuffing favorite.
Watching House Hunters. Though honestly most of the potential home owners kind of peeve me out. They often get stuck on real superficial stuff like the color of a wall or the type of appliances in the kitchen - those are easy, relatively inexpensive fixes! And the people who have champagne tastes on Boone's Farm budgets ... could I possibly be hate-watching?
Confused about my hair. Should I keep growing it out because I've never had real long hair before, or trim it back to a more manageable shoulder-length? Or shoot, be brave and bob it out again?
Drinking LaCroix sparkling flavored water. Where have I been? This stuff is cheap and delicious.

Yes to Chipotle and LaCroix! Two of my faves. I also love YA fantasy books. I will have to check out Graceling. And I haven't had really long hair in a long time and am attempting to grow my hair out right now, so I will say keep growing it. Or a bob! Oh, and I love this outfit. So chic!
ReplyDeleteTrue! I can always go shorter later but it'll take much longer to grow it out again.
DeleteI love YA and thought Graceling was great. I really like this outfit today too, great print!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same about house hunters.... although I feel like we've been playing out ourselves lately. I think we have finally found two wonderful options and I just hope one of them works out! I am going to have to try La Croix - I saw someone else post about it the other day and it seems like a great option for being preggers!
ReplyDeleteGood luck, girl!
DeleteChipotle chicken burritos are my downfall, I love them! My fiance and I call them "five pound sleeping pills," cuz those buggers are huge and all I wanna do is take a nap afterwards haha.
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteOh, I just discovered LaCroix too. When I brought it home, my son pronounced it just as it's spelled and I had a good chuckle. I also am attempting to grow my hair. I've never had long hair either. It always gets to my shoulders and I my ends get so thinned out that I have to cut it. I've been trying to not use as much heat. We'll see. Love this outfit. It's right up my alley
ReplyDeleteOnce hair gets past my shoulders, I usually get annoyed with it and it takes so long to handle. But I think this time I will make it work to see it get a bit longer.
DeleteMmm Chipotle! Their burritos are the best!

The Tiny Heart
I vote shorter hair. The bob looks chic!
ReplyDeleteI agree, the bob looked great - the problem for me at least, was that it took more time for me to get it to look nice when it was shorter, ack. But I appreciate the edginess.
DeleteGreetings Lisa - I vote long hair. You're already on your way, so why not see what a few more inches can do? Length gives you lots of options for braids and updos, plus some super sexy long and loose styles. If your ends start to split, your hair gets too heavy, or you just don't like it, you can always trim it back. And . . . my new reality show obsession is "Botched" on the E! Channel. It's about two Beverly Hills plastic surgeons who seem like pretty normal people who spend time on cases of badly-done plastic surgery. I am happy to see that they actually turn some clients away (e.g., the Human Ken Doll - ew!), but some of the cases they do take on have made me fall off my chair. One young woman started crying in front of the camera, stressing about about the 3rd rhinoplasty she was having done to correct the first two. She sobbed that she felt so selfish having three surgeries because "most people can't even afford one rhinoplasty!" Ay yi yi. This is the same channel that's bringing us a second season of "Rich Kids of Beverly Hills" about the most.shallow.people.ever. On the flip side, whenever I start to wonder about the future of humanity, I think about Showtime's "Time of Death", a 6-part reality show profiling families preparing for the eventual death of a loved one (usually via a long illness). The last episode had some of the most poignant and touching moments among family members that I have ever seen. Hard to watch sometimes, but totally worth it. Sniff!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I'll have to check Botched out - and Time of Death sounds really interesting but I would likely bawl ...
DeleteI loved Graceling.
ReplyDeleteLong hair suits you! I cut my hair recently though and love how much less time it takes to get it ready in the morning.
Graceling was good but Laini Taylor's Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy is UHMAZING!!! Read it! Now!
ReplyDelete"Hate-watching." /chortle
Bob it! Then again, I think I'm saying that only so I can live vicariously through you since my hubs won't let me chop off my hair.
Thanks for the book recs!
DeleteI am going to look into Graceling. I love House Hunters, too! I agree, almost all of them whine about some petty little thing that can easily be fixed. To be honest, I think the producers tell them to mention those things to make the show more...interesting, I guess. I would love to get on there and look at houses and say things like, "Granite makes me bored," or "Oh hey, it'll be fun to paint these lime green walls!"
ReplyDeleteThat's true - the last episode I watched had some girl requiring a bathroom with a separate toilet room because she didn't want to stare at the ugly toilet while she took a bath. Say what?! ;o)
DeleteBoth hands up for Chipotle! Been meaning to try out LaCroix!

Love that skirt, and your bright pink bag with that outfit :)
ReplyDeleteI think you should try growing out your hair - if you've never had it this long before, take advantage and grow it longer for a while :) If you hate it, cutting it is easy. cutting it and waiting for it to grow if you hate it would take longer, haha! :)
Away From The Blue
Agree! I am leaning that way.
DeleteLove that skirt!
ReplyDeleteLa Croix is indeed fantastic stuff :)
You look beautiful with the hair you have now :) Love your outfit too.

Hair can be tough, right? I feel like I'm kind of on hiatus with mine-- it needs to be cut, but I can't get in to see my stylist until September. I may have to cheat and just walk in somewhere. It always feels so long and unmanageable in the summer!
ReplyDeleteMy stylist got preggers then went MIA on me so I'm technically overdue for a cut myself!
DeleteI think I hate-watch house hunters too. It is just too much fun to scream at the TV. My pet peeve is when someone says "we like to entertain". I swear - I go nuts. Oh, and burritos are the best food in the world!
ReplyDeletexo,cynthia
I know, drama is much more fun to watch when it's not your own!
DeleteI am loving the long hair on you! I'd love to see it totally grown out long, but it's up to you of course.

Thanks! I'm leaning that way myself right now.
DeleteHH International -- where people look at a tiny balcony and say "hmm, we can have friends over for barbecue." Or they gaze at a roaring ocean and say "nice for the dogs!" Grr.
ReplyDeleteActually thinking you'd look great with any length hair.
Hahah, or when they look at other rooms and talk about how the first floor layout or something is not really suitable for parties - like how many parties are you hosting that it would be such a big deal?!
DeleteI will add this to my book to my to read books. I am addicted to YA series too. Love this ikat skirt on you!

So pretty, love the pattern of your skirt!
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great here! Maybe grow it a bit then get it cut back to this length, it's really pretty with all that movement on the ends.
ReplyDeleteThanks - I'm leaning that way myself.
DeleteWhat a beautiful outfit... and I love LaCroix! It is so refreshing and I love all the flavors!
ReplyDeleteBOB IT OUT!!!! Those pictures you linked to are FIERCE! I must not have followed you back then because I don't remember ever seeing your hair like that. I can also advocate for long hair too. I've had long hair most of my life & I love it. It takes me FOREVER to dry it because it's really thick too but I'm not sure I could ever give it up.
ReplyDeleteRe: Chipotle - I used to LOVE that place when I lived in California. When I first moved to Utah there were no Chipotles here but there was a place called Barbacoa. It's exactly the same set up as Chipotle. So we started going there but always kinda missed Chipotle. They opened here a couple years ago & I went thinking I'd still be in love but it turns out I like Barbacoa MUCH better now! Weird.
There are Mo's closer to my house but to me, nothing can beat Chipotle. I think it's the rice or something!
DeleteI agree on the fierceness of the angled bob and would like to go back to that eventually - though I must admit, it was difficult to wrangle every morning!
Yeah, that's definitely another reason for long hair - it's so easy! But that bob on you.... :-)
DeleteHave a GREAT weekend!
THOSE SHOES. I love them on you. And I love your current hair length! It looks so wonderfully flippy. :) But I say that if you've never had "proper long hair" before and want to give it a try, then grow it out and experience it. Then you chop it all off once you're sick of it and marvel at how much less shampoo you use.
ReplyDeleteAlso, nesting. I love nesting. I wish my apartment were bigger so I could nest more.
Chipotle is yummy, and Graceling sounds like a good book!
ReplyDeleteI've been letting mine grow out for a couple of years now and it is almost halfway down my back. I love the versatility of it and I actually wash it less now that it is longer so it is healthier too. Go for it! It is just hot in the summer but I can easily throw it up or put it in a ponytail and go. Love that skirt!
ReplyDeleteI am on the long hair team.
ReplyDeleteI have not been reading pleasure books but school books so its nothing i truly adore.
Have you ever shared how you do your hair like that before? I really like it and I have hair that's slightly close to your length.
