One thing I love about having a fashionista big sis who always looks on-trend and appropriate but lives with a big city-sized (i.e., small) closet? Of course the hand-me-downs.
Like this sweater which I coveted from J.Crew and decided too late that I wanted in my life. Lo and behold, it was in a bag of other goodies I got from my big sis over the holidays when I went home to visit the fam. Thanks, sis!

I really like this, Lisa! I have a similar pink skirt I put away because I thought it was too summery, but I think I need to use this look for se great almost spring inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI think bold pink works for any season!
DeleteI wish my sister was like that. Instead it is me giving her my hand-me-downs.
ReplyDeleteI love that jewelled collar.
bisous
Suzanne
I wish my sister and I wore the same size so we could swap clothes! The jeweled collar is such a pretty detail!

The Tiny Heart
She's technically a size smaller than me, so I can't wear any of her bottoms for sure!
DeleteThe button down top looks great paired with that sweater - I think the jeweled collar makes it stand out so nicely! And I think the bright pop of color is perfect for this time of year.
ReplyDeleteI love getting hand-me-downs from my sister coz it's almost always filled with goodies! Love how you paired the skirt with the jewels on the collar, btw. ;)
ReplyDeleteLove this look! You have been killing it with the pink and grey combinations! That is such a pretty skirt.
ReplyDeleteHmm, can your sister adopt me as her sister too? That is awesome she gives you her awesome hand me downs that look nothing like hand me downs! I'm super jealous. ;)
ReplyDeleteSequins&Stilettos
She's super duper careful with her clothes, which works well for me!
DeleteUnm....I will lose 20 pounds to fit into that skirt. That is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI wish JC put this skirt out in more colors, I would have snagged them too!
Deleteyour outfit is inspired by spring...and makes me wish for it! i love the collar and that skirt is fabulous on you!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! Can't get over the shoes! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
ReplyDeleteOh how fun that your sis gives you her clothes! I loved it when my sister and I lived together in our teens and '20's. It was like having a double wardrobe. I want that pink skirt!
ReplyDeletexo,cynthia
It's a double wardrobe for me - but I don't think she enjoys my taste a lot of the time, hehe.
DeleteYou look adorable, I love that J.Crew skirt I have it too.
ReplyDeleteIn many ways, being the younger sister is totally awful...but the hand-me-downs certainly do make up for it (in part). Love the pink + leopard in this outfit!
ReplyDeleteYeah, the fighting when we were little was pretty fiercesome, haha.
DeleteSo jealous right now. I've got three sisters - two younger and one older - but I'm the black sheep (read: largest) and I never get hand-me-downs that fit. Insert sad face. One can always take in things too big but there's no hope for things too small. Someday, I'm gonna befriend a gal who's my size and I'll be gifted with loads of quality discards. Yeah, right...
ReplyDeleteBtw, are you joining me for T3 tomorrow? I know you're super busy with life, but perhaps you've read/are reading something that inspires an outfit? /bats eyelashes pleadingly
I gotta go check your link-up, girl!
DeleteThis outfit is just lovely on you, Lisa! And I so wish my sister was my size.... or perhaps it's better off that she isn't! :P
ReplyDeleteLucky for me I love her style ... I don't think she quite feels the same way about mine, hehe.
DeleteI wished my sister and I were the same size. Lucky girl!

She's technically a size smaller (and taller!) so I can't wear her pants, but we can share tops and dresses.
DeleteThe collar on your top is beautiful! :) So nice of your sister to pass it onto you :)
ReplyDeleteMy sister and I used to share clothes all the time growing up - it was great! :)
Away From Blue
Can I steal your skirt please? ;) I love it!
ReplyDeleteI kind of don't get why J.Crew didn't continue this skirt in more colors. I would have been all over them!
DeleteLovely look!

look so cute on you. You are so lucky to be the same size as your big sis and have fabulous taste in clothes! So jealous :)
ReplyDeleteI love this pink skirt so much!
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky! My sister does not really care about clothes. At all. And if she wants to wear something, she borrows something from me. The sweater is lovely!
Jenni
Lucky for me, my sis has always been the fashion plate of the family. She's also really good at hair and makeup ... which typically means most times she looks like the younger sister!
DeleteNow that's a nice hand me down and what a nice sister! Love that sweater!
ReplyDeleteawesome....i wish i had a sister my size so i could do that! Love the pink skirt (you knew that I would :) ) and the jeweled collar. Is that the same one that you are wearing in your avatar?
ReplyDeleteLisa,
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous in that simple J. Crew sweater, and rally made it your own! Love the embellished collar and brackets: the pink skirt is so lovely I with it,
