I got this coat about a month ago and wore it on my trip to Cologne recently. It was the perfect light layering piece that made me look like I'm trying, despite my slouchy tees or whatever else I might have had on beneath it. And the slightly shiny woven fabric lets the rain roll off in a drizzle and cheaps a chilly wind at bay (plus it's on sale right now).
Granted that makes this awesome coat immediately too warm to wear in the southeast but I went ahead and did it earlier this month because I felt like this coat needed to be pranced around a bit before I save it up for fall and winter.
Coat: Zara gathered shoulder (sim, cropped, leopard-print)
Dress: Boden boulevard tunic (worn here - sim short-sleeved, chevron, orange)
Necklace: J.Crew fan fringe (worn here - factory version, sim darker, white)
Bracelet: INPINK pink glitter barnacle (worn here - sim, sim)
Shoes: Zara cap-toe court (worn here - sim deal, pricey, luxe)
Bag: Coach legacy flight (worn here - sim, sim, brighter)
The print on that dress is perfect, you look lovely.

That is such a beautiful coat! Love the red with the printed dress too :)

That coat is fantastic. I have no need for another coat and wont wear it for awhile...yet, it is so tempting. I can see why you want a few extra wears before fall. It looks beautiful on you.
ReplyDeleteWow. I LOVE that dang coat.
ReplyDeleteI find we have 2 seasons here...pile on huge horrible coats, or shorts. And although I own loads of leather jackets and lighter coats I find they are very hard to fit into wearing in our weather. I need to move back to the Canadian West coast where a light jacket is always in order.
Orange is definately your colour.

I own one winter coat now and I only wear it when I go to the NE during the holidays.
DeleteSuch a great coat, I adore this dress too.
ReplyDeleteThat coat is so cute! Right now in Kansas we need light jackets in the morning but by afternoon it's like death here.
ReplyDeleteIn the SE right now, it's like death from sun up to sun down, hehe.
DeleteSo guilty of adding an extra layer just to look more put together, and this coat is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteChic on the Cheap
What a gorgeous coat! I can see why you'd want to get a few more wears out of it even though it's not really jacket weather anymore.
ReplyDeleteHeck no, it's h a w t now!
Deletehaha, you always look like you are trying to me! ;)
ReplyDeleteSequins&Stilettos
Haha, don't see me first thing in the mornings then - def NOT trying!
DeleteLove the coat!

Thanks! I need to get fluffy bed head more often, hehe.
DeleteGorgeous coat! That color is amazing and I love it with the printed dress.
ReplyDeleteBoden items look so lovely on you Lisa!
ReplyDeleteAw thanks, I love their stuff!
DeleteThe red coat is very chic! I love the whole look. I wish the weather here would allow for a jacket, but it is way too hot!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's pretty much too hot for anything more than light sleeves nowadays. The coat will need to rain for fall after this.
DeleteWhat a beautiful coat! The color is gorgeous on you and I love it paired with black and white! That coat is going to be such a great staple come fall!
ReplyDeleteOoh, that coat is cute. It definitely needed a little hurrah before putting it away for the summer :)
ReplyDeleteLovely printed dress! It looks perfect with the orange coat on top.

DeleteWhat a cute dress! I love it. And that jacket is fab!

Love the outfit!
ReplyDeleteI have a coat from H&M that does the same effect.
ReplyDeleteI was in my Hello Kitty pyjamas going to grab a quick breakfast in LES Ny and just put the coat over it and my friend could not hold a "Wao" back :) looked great in an instant. Not many pieces can do this.
This coat has inspired me to look at other light coats - what an easy way to fake getting dressed!
DeleteIt's so hard finding cute rain wear, but that one is really cute on you...love all the red accessories with the graphic black and white dress!
ReplyDeleteThe coat is technically not rain wear, but one good thing about buying a coat made of completely synthetic mats - light rain repellent, hehe.
DeleteThat dress is amazing. Love it.

I actually love the print of the dress - black and white is totally my color at the moment.

Love that colour combination! The coat is fantastic. I think I own too many coats, living in the northeast, but now it's so humid I can't even imagine wearing one. But if you move back to this part of the world, you'd have all of spring and fall to wear coats. :)
ReplyDeleteI very much liked the dress in April and I still do. And the awesome coat looks so good on it. Can you actually lose the coat? I mean button it?
