I like the scarf-adorning-the-purse idea! I think I may have seen Coach present some of their bags like this, and I think it's a lovely, classy way to play them up. Also, re necklaces: I got one of these things on Ebay (I think I found mine for ~$20, actually) and I love it:

Most of my necklaces are collected from the 2009-2010 J.Crew period and have lots of sparkly crystals with edgy chains or disheveled ribbons; they dazzle the room hanging from this thing. I think might work better for necklaces that don't have a structured semi-circlular shape at the bottom, as those might hang awkwardly.
Thanks for the link! I need to consider something like this or similar because it's a pain to wrangle my necklaces.
DeleteSo when I saw that photo of how you store necklaces, at first I thought you were working on layering some of them. That number might be overkill but there's something fun about mixing and matching different pieces!
ReplyDeleteI'm still afraid of mixing necklaces unless they are delicate pieces. Small steps!
DeleteI love these detail shots: beautiful and artistic! (Confession: I don't have an Instagram account. Honestly, I just don't think I can add another social media thing to my blogging plate. It's hard enough for me to disconnect as it is, lol!)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean!
DeleteThat scarf is such a gorgeous way to dress up the bag!
ReplyDeleteI bought a thing at Target for my necklaces. It's basically just a piece of wood with hooks on it and it was dirt cheap!

Sept. Group Giveaway!
That's another idea I'm considering, just a bunch of hooks to go on the wall. I think I'll need to do something soon, it's a jumble!
DeleteThese pictures are all so beautiful! You should see how I store my jewelry...
ReplyDeleteGinny
That sparkly shirt is gorgeous! I love all of your accessories, so bright and fun!
ReplyDeleteso cute! i love the way you store your necklaces! xo
ReplyDeleteLove love love all the jewelry and your leopard print shoes!

I adore the twilly on the purse handles!
ReplyDeleteI dont even have an Instagram account - and don't have plans on doing so . So dont feel bad.
ReplyDeleteI might just try that twilly wrap on a bag that has shredding handles.
You think it'd be easy to just knot up some scarves, but I totally had to YouTube it.
DeleteI love your pictures, you have such good taste..and don't feel bad for the necklaces, mine all thrown in a drawer because my wall hanger broke because it was too heavy...
ReplyDeleteOh the "glam" trappings of us "fashionistas," haha. ;o)
DeleteI like your black-and-white polka-dotted top with the pop of color in the necklace. Also, I store my jewelry in a similar way. I have a vintage tiered appetizer tray, and I string necklaces around the pole that runs through the middle of the trays. It looks cute overflowing with baubles and pearls...and then I go to grab a necklace...and I have to untangle it from a mess of other necklaces...haha.
ReplyDeleteI do way to much necklace untangling as it is, but I like the idea of some nice antique cake trays or tiers or something.
DeleteThese are such cute tidbits and snapshots! The necklaces and shoes are my fave :)
ReplyDeleteThe Dragonfruit Diaries
Wow I am envious of your jewelry collection...so much color!
ReplyDeleteAnd watch out for Instagram...it can get pretty addicting;)
I just started looking through some other people's Instagram accounts - I know what you mean about addicting. It's like going down a rabbit hole!
DeleteCute! I love the little peeks at the various outfits and details in your life. And so glad to see that someone else owns more necklaces than I do ;)
ReplyDeleteI guess I am making up for all those years when I owned no necklaces!
DeleteI'm loving your fall finds; especially those studded suede shoes! Great KS wallet too!
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me with all those amazing necklaces?! Jealous! :)

I just picked up the sequin polka dot top in the white version. Really loving how you store your necklaces. Mine is always a tangled mess. I have the long necklaces hanging on a belt hanger and statement necklaces in a giant plastic ziplock bag - I am horrible at keeping things organized!

I a hard time picking between the black and white sequin versions - they were both so pretty!
DeleteEverything looks great and I especially love the sneakers! Too bad they're a little big!
ReplyDeleteI know! Too big ... and they make me look too short ...
DeleteI love them all! You look great!
ReplyDeleteOh nope, Lisa, I'm way behind you! No Instagram and no Twitter for me, I cannot keep up with it all, can barely keep up as it is. Nice pics, I want the wild cat sneaks but my feet are even smaller. :(
ReplyDeletePolka dot sequins, yay. Love how you put things together!
Make a jewelry board! I used a cork board and door knobs and such from the hard ware store. $100, and 1 hour.

Seriously you have some of the most gorgeous accessories I have seen here, especially Shoes. Loving the Studded Nude Pumps, the Wedge Toms & the Fuchsia Pumps. I also love the Fuchsia Bag, the Green Clutch and the bag which you amazingly tied a Scarf to (I need to try that). The Polka Dot Sequin Blouse is Perfection and do not get me started on all your amazing Bracelets & Necklaces. Girl, I would steal EVERY.SINGLE.PIECE.
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks so much!
DeleteLovely photos! I really like that sequin top! :)
ReplyDeleteAway From The Blue

ReplyDeleteThose suede pumps are fierce!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the sequin top!
ReplyDeleteI love it all!! Those leopard sneakers and sparkly polka dot top (dress?) from J.Crew are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI love the leopard shoes.
