Here's another go at my wearing the field mechanic jacket. This has quickly become my go-to casual weekend outerwear for its light warmth and ease. And since I think gingham goes with pretty much everything, gingham and this jacket will see a whole lot of each other.
And off-topic, but who else is sad about the end of Downton Abbey? What am I going to do without my weekly fix of Mary's bitchiness, the Dowager's quips, Mosley's innocent blundering and sweet, dedicated Anna? Good thing I'm nose-deep into binge-watching Gilmore Girls right now to help lessen the pain ...

Thanks much, I think it is a fun way to dress up a really casual jacket!
DeleteBeen eyeing that jacket for awhile, only wish it came in Tall, I'm a bit worried about the sleeves being too short. I'm so sad about Downton too! Mary, Anna & Mrs.Patmore are my favorites, but I'll really miss swooning over Henry Talbot every Sunday night!
ReplyDeleteI got the petite size and the sleeves hit me perfectly, that's a shame if JC didn't offer a tall version of the jacket.
DeleteHave you seen Matthew Goode (the guy who plays Henry) in Leap Year or Stoker? I thought he was so creepy-handsome in Stoker, even though he played a sociopath, eek!
I heard about him in Stoker but I've never seen it. I liked him as Finn Polmar in the Good Wife though. Ok, off-topic, I'll stop obsessing now!
DeleteOoh, I've never seen him on The Good Wife before, I must check that out - thanks!
DeleteLove a good army jacket!!
ReplyDeleteI too am soooooo sad Downton is going away. My fave was Edith. And the Dowager. And Daisy and Mrs. Patmore. Ahhhhh... at least we have reruns!
xo,cynthia
I hope Downton comes back to Netflix so I can rewatch the earlier "more carefree" seasons. I think they dragged it out for too long, but I miss the bantering of Matthew and Marie!
