1. Leopard pumps. Whoever said "leopard was a neutral" is right by my book.
2. Scalloped dress. Kind of short, yes. But it's been an awful fun layering piece that doesn't wrinkle (bonus for the ironing-adverse)!
3. Coated stone & gem stack necklaces. I've been living in these pieces.
4. Quilted vest (this year's version). Everywhere. Over everything.
6. Figure-skimming silhouette. I'm a woman and sometimes I know it.
7. Red bow pumps. Bright red with a bow and a walkable heel? Yes, please.
8. Fuchsia. My go-to color of the year.
9. A basic tote (colorblocked version). Way too easy to load and grab for.
10. Rolled up skinny jeans. Pretty much the only way I can get away with wearing skinnies.
What have been your go-tos for 2013?
I love all your cheery colors and fun prints! Cheers to a fashionable 2014 :)
ReplyDeleteCheers to that!

ReplyDeletenice shoes, I like it
ReplyDeleteI love that scalloped shift dress! And those red pumps are gorgeous too!
ReplyDeleteI love this roundup! I know I've probably said it before, but I love your style! It's classic but adventurous at the same time.
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks!
DeleteLove your picks from this year. Can I also say how happy I am that you joined Instagram and actually post photos often? :) Happy new year, Lisa!

ReplyDeleteThose leopard pumps are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Your details are always so lovely!
ReplyDeleteSuch great favorites, Lisa! That grey dress with the belt is just gorgeous on you!
ReplyDeleteWonderful retrospective. I love your use of color and those leopard pumps are gorgeous. I just finally found a pair and hope I get as much use out of mine as you do!
ReplyDeleteOnce you go leopard, you never go back! ;o)
DeleteYour pretty pictures of colour and texture make me weep- so inspiring!! And how do you even break it down to these favourites? You always have so much good stuff going on! I gotta do something about my pictures- it's the main reason I haven't been blogging much...a challenge for 2014!
ReplyDeleteI still want a DSLR for myself but then I keep thinking whether or not I'd actually make the time to hunt out great backgrounds ... it's way too easy to take some quick pics before work from home each day!
DeleteSo pretty! I love it all and I think one can really tell your style just based on this one post alone. Cool and impressive.
ReplyDeleteHey, Lisa. You have perfect lips.
Lucky girl!

I love seeing a few of your favorites all together! I'm always so inspired by your outfits and can't wait to see what you'll come up with in the new year!
ReplyDeleteI love the peplum dress w/gold belt on you most of all! My favorite thing of 2013...blingy necklaces and black vests.

Bring on the blingy necklaces!
DeleteYou are so my style icon. You always look so polished and put together. I love all these looks. My favorites this year - skinny jeans, a nice pair of Frye boots or colorful flats, and long necklaces, sometimes layered with short ones. Oh, and super sparkly belts, which I put with basically every dress ever. :)
ReplyDeleteFrye boots are an investment, but they do kind of go with everything and last forever ...
DeleteLove this round-up of your favourites! You look gorgeous, and your style and personality shine through in every photo! Best wishes for a very happy New Year!! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh I love those red bow pumps and both outfits with the shoes. My favorite clothing item was my Citizens of Humanity Angie super flares! They are from 2011 and are finally starting to look worn out. But, the good news is that bell bottomed/flared jeans seem to be all over the place this year. yay!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could look long and lanky in those super flare jeans - I tried a pair myself months and months ago but unfortunately I looked extra lumpy, haha. Not all styles are good for all body types.
DeleteNice pics Lisa! I love that scalloped dress, camel sweater, tartan & boots, and blue & green skirt. So gorgeous! I know you will have a fabulous & fashionable 2014!

Fabulous choices! I can't even choose a favorite! They are all so fun and colorful. My go-tos are usually the basics, such as a simple brown leather tote and a skinny belt in that same shade, a pair of gold espadrilles for the summer and my black gold buckle booties during winter. I also turn to stripes whenever I'm having a hard time choosing an outfit.
ReplyDeleteI have to match my browns too - for some reason different shades of brown for my shoes or bag or belt drive me nuts! ;o)
DeleteGreat recap of the year :) Wishing you a safe new years and may your blog bring many more OOTDs :)

This is such a great wrap-up post for the year! My favourite of all the ones I've read :)
ReplyDeleteI wonder what my go-tos for 2013 were? I'd say jeans, definitely...haha. Would be interesting to look through the past year of photos and see what I kept going back to.
Hope you have a happy new year!
Away From The Blue
Since it's gotten cold, I've been living in jeans - they are too comfy and too easy to pull on each day!

Jeans and a Teacup
Great topic. I feel like it's a nice recap of your signature style this year. I'm with you on embracing animal print as a neutral. Same thing with the bejeweled statement necklace. One thing you mentioned that I want to try experimenting more with in my own closet is pairing bold, solid colors. The looks you posted are so bright and fun without being flashy or clown-y. I'm going to have to try it out!
ReplyDeleteFor me, a shift into more feminine dressing has definitely defined my 2013. I think high-waisted belts and statement necklaces being pretty standard in my look as well.
Happy New Year!
Liz
I think it is fantastic how a statement necklace is such an easy addition to take almost any outfit to the next level!
DeleteLisa, This is an awesome, inspiring collection. Would you please come over and help me get dressed?
