Currently ... from August

boardwalk stripes

Currently ...

Eating Outshine Fruit & Veggie frozen bars. Who knew tangerine and carrots together would taste like peaches? And only 35 calories for little pops.

Craving Ikea cinnamon rolls. Icey pops are nice and all, probably even healthy ... but I really want some sugar frosting deliciousness.

Reading The Belial Stone. Ancient artifacts, a kung fu fighting heroine and fallen angels? My inner ancient alien conspiracy theorist self is having a field day with this book. Not as in-depth as The Atlantis Gene trilogy, but it's been a page-turner so far.

Using MyFitnessPal to track workouts and what I'm eating. It's honestly a pain in the ass, but my biggest food downfall is with portion control and MFP has been keeping me honest so far.

Lusting after these J.Crew sunglasses. Though like most other sunglasses, they will likely be way too small for my giant head - plus they're pricey ... so maybe I'll get this Asos plaid skirt for fall instead.

What are you currently info?

    1. Thanks! Now that I know they all match together, I HAVE to wear them all together all the time!

  2. I'm currently into my 90-day Spending Fast, my 50 Dresses challenge and keeping up with my Fitbit 10k-steps-a-day goal. I think three is the magic number but I suppose I should make use of my Fitibit's calorie counter and track food intake again. Like you, I have portion control issues but have found eating really is more important than exercising when it comes to weight loss. Sigh...

    1. I know, eating totally is more important when it comes to weight loss. But I am also totally one of those people who will exercise every day so I can stuff more food into my gullet!

  3. I'm also using MyFitnessPal to track calories & activity. I also think it's a pain in the ass, but it certainly helps to keep me honest. My problem is snacking. Also, you may appreciate that some friends and I, who several years back attempted a drastic calorie count diet, starting referring to it as the Fitness Punk. The Punk ruled our days and the diet failed miserably.

  6. Love your whole outfit but I really really like that belt.

  7. Love the dress! As I normally freeze at work, I think this would look good with a button up the front collared shirt. What do you think?

    1. I think this dress would do well with a more cas blazer or cardigan or a jean jacket for off-hours. With a button-front shirt, I've seen gals tie their shirts at the waist, then tuck in the extra material under the shirt and then wear a wide belt over the shirt, hiding the tie. I've never tried it myself, but it works!

  8. Currently I am covered in paint - Victor and I bought our own place a while ago, and now we're painting it before we can move in. There's even paint in my fringe, but I'm too tired to go wash my hair, haha! Also, I hear you re: the Ikea food. We were there on Saturday to buy furniture, and I had a piece of their chocolate crokant (sp?) cake, and I'm STILL thinking about it!! (Gotta be MSG, man...)

Also, this outfit. I am loving it SO MUCH! Half my closet is packed up in bags, or I'd be pulling stuff out left, right and center to try and recreate it!

  9. Ooh I really love this outfit on you Lisa :) and your hair looks nice too! I have been trying Myfitnesspal and it is truly a pain in the butt and seems really slow in loading up foods! Argh But I will try to stick to it :)

    1. MFP is such a pain in the butt that there have been - though few - a couple of times where I've opted not to eat a snack just because I didn't want to have to enter it in, haha!

  10. Wow this belt was meant for this dress. MyFitnessPal is such a great weight to keep my eating in check. I have eliminated sugar & processed food from diet for a week and it's really helped with losing weight but I am still eating too much.

    1. MFP and tracking foods/cals has been the only thing that has worked for me. Even when I try to just eat healthy, I will always end up eating way too much on my own!

  11. I am STRUGGLING with my fitness pal because with homemade meals it's like....um....I don't know what to put down!

    1. I know what you mean! I have looooooooooong lists of ingredients and guestimated quantities down whenever I cook and have to log it in MFP. I just started to use the My Recipes section but you still have to spend the time and list every ingredient/quantity down.

  12. The pastel accents on this outfit are perfectly subtle.
Right now I am into finalising a couple of projects for school and working on the final details of a huge 2 day event I have next week.

  13. Pretty dress! So it looks like plaid is going to be big this year. That ASOS skirt is great!
I am hoping to be into ballet soon. I just signed up for an adult beginner ballet class. Aaack. Wish me luck!

  14. Coral accessories are the bee's knees on you. What a lovely color! And can I have your entire shoe collection, please? Thanks!

"Though like most other sunglasses, they will likely be way too small for my giant head" -- This made me laugh, because I so relate. Except my biggest nemesis is hats. Nothing emphasizes a giant head more than a tiny hat places on top of it. Sigh.

    2. I know what you mean, I have a hat-on-head issue too. I have pretty much one hat that fits my head and I guard it like a treasure!

  15. LOVE the dress and that gorgeous belt, of course it is anthropologie. Great accent with the necklace, too. I would not have guessed peaches, by the way, but what a yummy combo!
Have a great week. Sorry for my absence,
