A Fall Floral

black floral swing top black floral swing top

I've been seeing this print around the Insta-blog sphere these past few weeks, so when I came upon it while out browsing, I couldn't help but to try it out myself. This print also comes in a dress version but the tunic felt the most versatile for me (because I live in jeans in the cooler months). The print is really too pretty when seen in real life and perfectly comfortable for the current Southeastern weather.

Moto-ing this Season

I've been doing some business traveling this past week, thus the blog silence. I heard temps are finally going to drop to the 80s Fahrenheit at home this week however, so there's hope yet it may finally start feeling like fall. I'm pulling out my light jackets in preparation and this khaki moto piece is one of my long-time favorites. How I managed to snag this on super-sale way back when I'll never know, but I guess it was meant-to-be in my closet!

September Wishlisting

Official fall is about a week away, so I think it's safe for me to finally get myself into a cooler weather state of mind. I'm treading slowly though since it's still literally pretty hot here, so I'm looking at light layers. Here are some pretties from Shopbop that I currently have my eyes on - and all these links are direct and not affiliate:

While it's Still Gingham Season

blue gingham + red floral

I figure I better get the more summery looks out of the way before I get overcome by the impending sea of puffer vests and blanket scarves. This was a more casual look for my office place that I think would also be appropriate for a weekend lunch date by replacing the heels with some sandals.

Leaning Towards Fall

OK, fall is literally still weeks away and I am expecting a full five days at least of 90-degree plus weather ahead, so no, I am not going to be prancing around in plaid scarves, puffer vests or boots any time soon. Plus I've always been told that I should never wish away time.

However, I do look forward to cooler weather, so while I'm getting another fresh pedi, I'll also peruse some fall friendly styles on my favorite site for online browsing - Shopbop. Check out some of my fall-ready faves below - and these links are not direct, not affiliate:

Still Summer

The start of September pretty much means "OMG it's fall, y'all!" across a large portion of the blogosphere. Considering I live in the Southeast however, it just means it's going to still be really hot for another two months (that and fall doesn't start for three more weeks, but whatevs ...) So my nod to the idea of autumn will be to look cooler-weather ready but in summer-appropriate fabrics.
