Striped Schoolboy

I currently own three different types of the J.Crew schoolboy blazers and am constantly on the lookout for more in my size. They fit my broad shoulders well and the ones with the gold buttons have the bit of extra prep-snazz I adore. Unfortunately J.Crew has decided to move on from this style so new additions to my closet must be Ebay-scouted.

  1. Sad day! I have a couple of these blazers as well, and I love them! Luckily, there's eBay, thredUp, poshmark, and other places to scavenge!

  2. Omigosh, Lisa, I have broad shoulders, too, and I'm wondering if you wouldn't mind telling me what size you take these JC blazers in? I'm a 36B & usually take a 4R or 4P (preferably), but i recently saw the same striped JC Factory blazer that you've been wearing in an FB group and was wondering whether a size Small might be too big or too small. Would love your thoughts!

Love your outfits as always, they inspire me to put more thought into my outfits!

    1. I have the Schoolboy blazer in both size 2 and 4P - 4P fits me best because I am a shortie so the sleeves are perfect but I think elsewhere they fit the same generally. I am thinking the size SM would work for you if you're broad-shouldered but may be a tad large in the bodice area - if you're planning to wear it open mostly, it should not matter as much, I guess. The Factory store also has a very sim blazer available now in numerical sizing - that may also be an option. HTH - thanks!
