Citron Lexington

yellow lexington

Ebay is pretty much my go-to spot for finding long lusted after treasures and this blazer is no exception. The beautiful thick wool, the silk trim and lining inside the blazer and those buttons! There's nothing like some "vintage" J.Crew and their timeless styles and higher-end quality - 2006-2007 was a banner year for the brand, in my opinion. I couldn't really afford J.Crew way back when, but I can catch up via  Ebay now!

    1. Yes! It's those little details that make me miss J.Crew of old!

  2. Nice colour palette! Those pants are very flattering on you, they are very elongating. Do you find the Factory Charley sweaters pill easily? I wore one over the holidays with an extra cardi on top for warmth and then under the arms due to some rubbing I guess, so much pilling! Any tips on preventing this? I should start selling some things on ebay, usually I just donate them to goodwill, but sadly many of my get-rid-of clothes have been barely worn, yikes!

    1. I've not tried wearing the factory charley under another knit item before - I usually wear them under a blazer or something and I haven't found them to pill - maybe the blazer lining against the sweater creates less pilling friction?
(You could always try a blog or IG sale, or list items on the J.Crew Aficionada site or Effortless Anthropologie sites if you don't want to do Ebay).

  4. You look so good in yellow! That citrus is SO hard to pull off and you do it well. I love a good Ebay score. I just got an older Anthro dress that I loved from afar a few years ago and was able to get it at a great price.

    1. Sweet! Granted usually a long period of time has passed, but it still amazes me to find older Anthro items on Ebay now for a deal that were highly coveted (and people often paid over retail for it) just a few years ago!

  6. Girl, you look fabulous! I know it's been forever and a day since I commented on your blog. I kinda stopped commenting when I (unwillingly) stopped blogging last year. But anyway, I just wanted to come by & say hi & tell you I still follow along on IG and I come by here every now and then just don't usually comment. I hope you're doing really well!

I'm totally with you on the not being able to afford J. Crew way back when. I still have some trouble & usually stick to J. Crew Factory but still! I have never used ebay. Maybe I should though!

    1. Aw, thanks, girl! I am def more active on IG myself - it's just easier to post and I can look at stuff from others really easily on my phone.

I am a JC fan from waaaay back in the day, but I sure couldn't really afford the brand at all back then. Now I still buy most of my JC stuff on promo, sale or Ebay!

    1. Haha, well I actually took these pics before Christmas but there was one year (a long while ago, thankfully) where I left my Christmas tree (ornaments and all) up until March!

  14. Canary yellow and gray is such a fresh combination! The gray makes it feel wintry and cozy, but the yellow really livens things up. The gray and rhinestone necklace pulls this together beautifully and keeps it fun in addition to smart.
