Poppy Coat and Rainbow Stripes

serape scarf, poppy coat

So I'm feeling a bit caught up on Christmas now - our travel arrangements are made for December, the tree is up and decorated and the stockings have been by hung the chimney with care (by the way, I've been ordering these Lands' End ones for years, and they come with free personalization). I've only bought one present so far and pretty much have zero idea about gifts for anyone else, but I am no longer feeling like the most behind person in the world.

We just won't discuss how we meant to buy a Christmas tree with built-in white twinkle lights but accidentally got the multi-colored ones instead (so the tree is a leeeeetle bit more colorful than we'd like, but it's just all the merrier, right?)

    1. Score one for Lisa - too bad I feel like I'm way behind on the having-ideas-on-what-to-get-people-for-Christmas front.

  4. Wow, I'm obsessed with the color of that coat, it is beautiful! We have wreaths up but no tree yet and I have almost all of the shopping done but not wrapped. That will happen this week and so will the tree. I just hope the cat doesn't decide to take the tree back down.

    1. My pup is not fond of our tree but she usually just leaves it alone - we need to coordinate, together we could be ahead on the holiday game, hehe.

  6. Love the cheery colors on your scarf and coat, Lisa! I'm slowly getting our place decorated too. No tree yet, but the Christmas village and pre-lit garlands are up (no colorful lights though ;). You should check out the terrific gift list Wendy at One Can't Get Over the Habit blog posted. She has some neat ideas that might inspire you. :)

  7. Oh I just adore all of the cheery colors on you, Lisa! Everyone in Los Angeles wears black and gray lately. It is so boring and gloomy. One thing I miss about the south is that people were colorful clothing! Love it!
