Easy Trompe L'oeil

trompe l'oeil

The buttons are real but pretty much everything else on this top has been sketched on. And for some weird reason, that makes me adore this top to no end.

So thanks to my big sis for getting this top for me from one of Joe Fresh's US stores since they are all currently located in NYC or Long Island and Joe Fresh doesn't offer online US shopping yet (boo and boo).

I've checked out some of Joe Fresh's offerings via JCPenney but I think they save the cutest stuff for their own site. Come on, Canada, when are you guys going to share this fab retailer?

trompe l'oeil trompe l'oeil

Top: Joe Fresh graphic print (in-stores or online for you lucky Canadians - sim, sim, black, pricey)
Jeans: Old Navy sweetheart distressed (worn here - sim, deal)
Bracelets: F21 set (sim, sim) & Rachel Leigh (sim striped, pink)
Shoes: Guess kissani (worn here - sim, deal, strappy)
Bag: Brahmin anytime (worn here - this year's version, sim, sim, purse)

  3. That is so cute! I wish Joe Fresh would ship to the US already, but at least they do have a great line with their 100% silk pieces for JCP.

  5. So cute! I do not know why, but I thought you lived in New York. When I thought, "Lisa," I pictured you in Manhattan. Now I have to retrain my brain. : )

  7. Ooh when I saw this on your IG I was hoping it was from the JCP line, I LOVE this top!

  8. Well I'd say I'm sorry for you but honestly I kinda like that for once it is us Canadians that have something you Americans don't. Otherwise 80% of companies don't ship to Canada or they have HUGE shipping costs.

I'm going to really make you jealous by telling you that they are in all the grocery stores around here. So every time I go to pick up some eggs I can shop what is new at Joe Fresh. As that bad kid on the Simpsons would say, "ha ha!"

    Okay...I'll stop gloating now : )

This shirt is super cute BTW. Maybe I need to pick up some eggs after all ...

    bisous

    2. Dear American neighbours, we Canadians are holding Joe Fresh hostage until companies such as Theory, James Perse, Helmut Lang, and the other 80% of U.S. retailers, like Suzanne mentioned, start to ship to Canada. Merci beaucoup. Now please excuse me while I swing by the grocery store to pick up that cute top... :)

  14. Oh man, I so wish they shipped to the US! I know there's a store in Manhattan but I swear everything I wanted that I spied online wasn't there.

  16. I love that elephant bracelet. The top. It's so simple but cute. Plus, it must be airy and light since everything is sketched on. Adorable.

  23. I love this shirt! It's like a cuter version of that fake-tux T-shirt Ryan Gosling wore to some gala or other... ("Hey, Girl... I like how you wear not just a shirt, but the pants as well." - my attempt at a Feminist Ryan Gosling compliment... Hah!)
