Stuff I'm loving (and not-so-much) this month?

Jillian Michaels workout DVDs. OK, so I've loved her workouts for a while now, but I've been stacking workouts together and am actually seeing definition on my arms and shoulders.
Granted some of my tops are now fitting a bit snugger in those exact areas. Nothing like feeling a bit Hulk-ish when you put on a blouse, cross your arms and feel like you're busting out seams.

♥ I've been eating overall healthier whole foods over the last few months and cutting drastically back on the junk. I'm now a quinoa junkie and use it in place of rice in many recipes.
Unfortunately my appetite is still about the same (i.e., a bottomless pit), which means though I am eating healthier, I am still eating way more than my share to see any sort of difference in my body. I foresee painful attempts at habit-changing coming up ...

These leopard print loafers of mine (last worn on the blog here). They're so easy to slip on and go with pretty much everything.
These leopard print loafers of mine. Fantastic for walking around in, not for taking walks in. My heels are a bit mangled.

Remember when I previously wrote that under-eye correcter was The Fix for my dark circles? Well, I've got a new fix that does not require a corrector then concealer over it by Make Up Forever. It's concealer, but one I can apply with my ring finger and be done with, and it'll stay and stay.
Unfortunately nothing short of a Hollywood makeup team (and Photoshop) can make my circles go completely away, but I'm inching closer and closer to not having people randomly telling me how tired I look.

What are you loving (and not-so-much) so far?

    1. Right now that's my go-to concealer, partly because it's also quick to apply.

So glad your sticking to your workout routine and eating healthy isn't great when you start seeing results. I personally feel that's my biggest motivation, but on the down side I go to bed pretty late and always look tired but those baby muscles are worth it ;-)

    1. I admit I admire my biceps and triceps in the bathroom mirror now that I can see muscle instead of just wobble, haha. However the midriff area ... I know I have abs, but why are they so shy? ;o)

  8. I hear you on the eating - I've been eating very clean for the month of Jan and the weight has not really gone down but I see more definition which is a good thing. I need to cut back on my fruits which adding too much sugar in my diet.

I love this outfit with the submit double leopard. And bummer that your leopard loafers are not good for walking - they are super cute to look at.

    1. I probably need to cut down on some fruits too - pretty much everything I need to stop eating in order to "lean out" more are exactly the foods I love!

  15. I've been using Jillian Michaels too. Even convinced my 67 year old mom to give the 30 day shred level 1 a try with me.

I really like this outfit. So classic.

  20. Love your entire outfit, Lisa!!
I really need to start working out. I am beginning to get scared about being weak and need to do something about it. I keep threatening to take ballet classes. I need to just do it already.
I am loving my Free People toggle coat. I felt guilty buying it but I have worn it constantly since November. No more guilt. Woo hoo!

    1. That's partly why I got over the whole "if I lift weights I'll get too muscly" thought that was rolling around in my head. My shoulders and arms were getting flabby! I dig JM workouts partly because they always work the arms and shoulders - parts that I do not do anything with if I just worked out on my own!

  22. I picked up an "eye eraser" especially for undereye circles. It works, but with so much nasal congestion, It really feels like dark circles are here to stay.

  24. Due to lack of time I have to keep my comments short. But I am looking at everything. Love the jacket. My scarfs are usually too bulky to pull this off. A mistake I making when I buy a scarf. (Which I often do, only to keep them in the drawer with the other scarfs...)
