Is it Time for Turkey Yet?

birds + butterflies  birds + butterflies

OK, so I technically wore this outfit about two weeks ago when the temps were much more conducive to keeping my legs exposed, but it seems rather Thanksgiving-appropriate so I held off on posting this outfit until now (plus I also have a backlog of outfit pics - ladies who post outfits on the day-of, I don't know how you do it).

For those in the States, I'm wishing you lovely ladies a fabulous Thanksgiving weekend! I hope you spend lots of good time with your families and friends, eat what makes you happy, and stay toasty for those who are going to risk the early morning crowds on Friday.

I'm with my fam in NYC this weekend and have been busy gobbling up all my fave homemade goodies while playing tourist through Midtown.

I'm so thankful for a loving family (who happen to live in one of the greatest cities on earth so I have loads of excuses to visit), a patient BF who does not eye roll me to death when I want to go into yet another J.Crew store, the cutest pup ever, a job that allows me the luxury of travel (and ability to buy pretty things), and some fantastic stylish bloggie friends like yourselves. Have a great rest-of-the-week!

  2. It was easier to grab a few pictures each day in the summer and post on the day or the day after but now I only really manage on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as I am at home those afternoons and it's still light!

Have a great time celebrating with your family :) x

  6. Very festive outfit! You're so lucky to have a very understanding BF. I hate eye-rolling and the dirty looks "they" give you when you say you want to go to yet another J. Crew store haha. Happy Thanksgiving! Have a wonderful time with your family.

  12. It's funny to hear all this Thanksgiving talk, because to me, Thanksgiving was almost two months ago. Canadian Thanksgiving. But I'm not complaining about Black Friday deals. :) Love the colours in this outfit, hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  13. I have a backlog as well. I only get two days off a week and have to wear a uniform to work. It's why I cut my posts down to once a week too, which really hinders my blog growth. :(
I find this very Thanksgiving appropriate and the little jacket over top is so cute!

  30. Yes you lead a happy life. Good on you. That bag is so nice. And I made the mistake of clicking on your links for similar bags.... oh dear... Coach legacy Haley Satchel and B Brain Atwood Satchel. That is not fair. They are divine and I am in a NOT-BUYING-ANYTHING-ANYMORE fase. So this is what they mean by kicking off, by kicking the habit. PAIN.

  31. Lisa, I love the whimsical print skirt with all of your pretty and colorful additions. You are a true J.Crew model, and I think so highly of that brand and you: such creative and distinctive clothes, no one comes close to their niche!
