A Few Additional Bits

Time to round out another few weeks of outfits and pairings with quick pics taken with my camera phone. One of these days I'll get to managing my social media better and start up that Instagram page that I think I'm the last person to not have. (Actually I have an Instagram, I just haven't taken or posts anything yet!) In the meantime, here you go -

1
Sparkles from the factory: J.Crew factory sequin dot (sim dressed up) & necklace.

2
Trying out a twilly wrap to dress up a purse (same larger).

3
Suede & studs for fall.

4.1  4.2
Metallic: Coach bag, Pour La Victoire wedges, Tag watch, bracelets by Sage K and Co, Yunikelley, Overstock.

Pink & camo: LEC gingham poplin (sim), J.Crew camo jacket (worn before - sim), Your Bijoux Box necklace.

5
Some Toms (sim) and an oldie but goodie bag (worn before - sim).

6
Probably not the best way to store necklaces. Need to think of some more creative options ...

7
Fall hues: Anthro necklace (sim), J.Crew factory sweater, skirt, belt.

8
The most cat-tastic sneakers - unfortunately too big for me, maybe they'd fit you? (Or here for a deal, here for
some luxe).

9.1  9.2
Some new necklaces for layering.

A beloved Loft dress (worn before - sim), Cole Haan clutch (sim), Knotical Knovelties bracelet (sim blue).

10
Tucker blouse (worn before - sim dress) & Emerson Fry necklace (sim).

11
Kate Spade wallet (sim).

12
Bits of fuchsia: Anthro top (worn before - sim), Ann Taylor pearl cluster bracelet (sim, deal), Old Navy jeans,
Guess pumps (worn before - sim), Brahmin tote.

  1. I like the scarf-adorning-the-purse idea! I think I may have seen Coach present some of their bags like this, and I think it's a lovely, classy way to play them up. Also, re necklaces: I got one of these things on Ebay (I think I found mine for ~$20, actually) and I love it:

Most of my necklaces are collected from the 2009-2010 J.Crew period and have lots of sparkly crystals with edgy chains or disheveled ribbons; they dazzle the room hanging from this thing. I think might work better for necklaces that don't have a structured semi-circlular shape at the bottom, as those might hang awkwardly.

    1. Thanks for the link! I need to consider something like this or similar because it's a pain to wrangle my necklaces.

  2. So when I saw that photo of how you store necklaces, at first I thought you were working on layering some of them. That number might be overkill but there's something fun about mixing and matching different pieces!

    1. I'm still afraid of mixing necklaces unless they are delicate pieces. Small steps!

  3. I love these detail shots: beautiful and artistic! (Confession: I don't have an Instagram account. Honestly, I just don't think I can add another social media thing to my blogging plate. It's hard enough for me to disconnect as it is, lol!)

  4. That scarf is such a gorgeous way to dress up the bag!

I bought a thing at Target for my necklaces. It's basically just a piece of wood with hooks on it and it was dirt cheap!

    1. That's another idea I'm considering, just a bunch of hooks to go on the wall. I think I'll need to do something soon, it's a jumble!

I might just try that twilly wrap on a bag that has shredding handles.

    1. You think it'd be easy to just knot up some scarves, but I totally had to YouTube it.

  11. I love your pictures, you have such good taste..and don't feel bad for the necklaces, mine all thrown in a drawer because my wall hanger broke because it was too heavy...

  12. I like your black-and-white polka-dotted top with the pop of color in the necklace. Also, I store my jewelry in a similar way. I have a vintage tiered appetizer tray, and I string necklaces around the pole that runs through the middle of the trays. It looks cute overflowing with baubles and pearls...and then I go to grab a necklace...and I have to untangle it from a mess of other necklaces...haha.

    1. I do way to much necklace untangling as it is, but I like the idea of some nice antique cake trays or tiers or something.

  28. I just picked up the sequin polka dot top in the white version. Really loving how you store your necklaces. Mine is always a tangled mess. I have the long necklaces hanging on a belt hanger and statement necklaces in a giant plastic ziplock bag - I am horrible at keeping things organized!

  30. Oh nope, Lisa, I'm way behind you! No Instagram and no Twitter for me, I cannot keep up with it all, can barely keep up as it is. Nice pics, I want the wild cat sneaks but my feet are even smaller. :(

Polka dot sequins, yay. Love how you put things together!
