Tuning In

green & black

I am an admitted TV-holic - albeit a picky one - so I always love this time of year when new shows debut and old favorites come back. There are actually few shows I make a point of watching right when they air.

My current faves? I had been highly anticipating the return Once Upon a Time - who can resist fairy tales? And The Vampire Diaries - I had been a fan since reading the original trilogy in middle school. Thanks to Infinity, I also have been catching episodes of  666 Park Avenue and the borderline cheesy superhero-y Arrow - can you tell I have a lean towards the fantasy / sci-fi stuff?

I am into more "realistic" TV too, though my old standby favorite, the Real Housewives series, is really starting to wear thin - there's only so much pointless bickering I can stand to watch without it starting to give me a case of anxiety! And Gossip Girl? Honestly, I am having more fun catching the reruns - I lost track of things by season 3. How many times can the same six-seven people date and re-date each other anyways?

The one show I don't get tired of? No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain (I'm upset that it's his final season - I'm a huge foodie fangirl, and even made it a point to eat at Les Halles, where Tony once ran the kitchen before he made it to TV stardom).

What are some of your fave new or returning shows for the fall season?

  2. I'm a TV junkie too and love anything reality based! Survivor is my favorite show:) I hate to admit this, but recently I have been hooked on VH1's couples therapy, it is so bad and good at the same time. I am completely obsessed with your outfit today and would like to steal everything you have on. Good thing for you, I have better morals than that;) You look superb!!! xo

    1. Is it wrong that I hope VH1's Basketball Wives Miami comes back soon? Endless bickering, same as the Housewives, yes, but those BW's are not afraid to throw down! ;o)

  6. I've been getting pretty excited about fall TV this year too. My all time favorite is Criminal Minds (even though it always scares the crap out of me!). Parenthood is hands down my new (to me) favorite, I wish I would have started watching it sooner! My husband got me started on Revolution, which is also pretty good.
I love this layered fall look and the shades of green!

I'm a tv-holic too and watch so much stuff. My Sundays are ridiculously packed with shows.
I love Once Upon a Time, Dexter, Homeland, Happy Endings, Revenge, Scandal and a host of other reality shows that I generally catch if I'm flipping through. I gave up on Gossip Girls last season, but might watch this season since it's the last one.

  10. I love you in green!

I'm a Real Housewives fan of almost all the franchises, but man oh man does NJ cause me anxiety. I've had to make a new rule for myself that I can't watch it before I go to bed. It leaves me too riled up! I also really love House Hunters. I can watch it for hours on end.

  11. mmm...I'm tuning in to your greens! Yum! I feel very far away from tv right now (well, I guess literally- I'm in a lovely B&B in Amsterdam!) but I'm looking forward to New Girl. I think it started already, so I'll have a couple of sweet episodes to savour when I get home!

    1. Amsterdam is awesome! Only part I didn't like was that I felt like literally the shortest person in the country, which I probably way, hehe. Some of the bathroom mirrors are literally too tall for me to see my entire face in!

  34. Green looks great on you :).

I'm also enjoying Arrow, and am a Grimm addict. With Arrow, my husband and I are amused to keep track of the gratuitous shirt-removal scenes. Otherwise, we're more movie lovers.
