Mint-y New Shoes
Happy Monday, ladies!
The stylish folks at ShoeMint asked me to try a pair of their shoes recently and how could I refuse - pretty shoes for me, yes, please! ShoeMint shoes are designed by Rachel Bilson and Nicole Chavez and made by Steve Madden.
ShoeMint is part of the StyleMint and JewelMint family and the concept is the same. Sign up by creating your style profile and checking out a selection of shoes. It's free to sign up and if you buy shoes, they're $79.98 each, which includes shipping - you can return or exchange your shoes for free too. It is shoe club, but there's no obligation to buy and you can cancel your membership anytime.
I selected the Rosemary pump in snake from their February collection. For an almost 4" heel with no platform, I was really surprised at the comfort. The insoles are pretty well padded and the embossed leather is structured yet soft. I found the shoes to run a tad large, though not enough to make me want to size down - there's just enough room for me to add a heel grip if I needed it. I don't usually wear a heel this high that isn't stacked or without a platform, but I trotted around in these a bit over the weekend to break them in and my feet survived surprisingly well (don't get me wrong though, it's still a 4" heel, so I ain't gonna go spend the day at Disney World in these babies on or anything ...)
Top: LEC heritage oxford (worn here - sim, striped)
Skirt: J.Crew crinkle chiffon (sim maxi, lighter)
Bracelets: F21 stud, Target pearl, T+J Designs rhinestone (sim, sim, sim, sim)

They did just release some delish-looking point-toed stilettos that I am ogling!
DeleteLove the colors you are sporting today...you look gorgeous! Those shoes are so fun... I didn't know Steve Madden made them!
ReplyDeleteNeither did I - but knowing that sure helped in figuring out if I could stay with my regular size!
DeleteThey look awesome on you Lisa! With the price of shoes today, ShoeMint is heaven. HaHa

Reminds me of when I was in college and pretty much all I could afford was Payless and similar brands ...
DeleteThose are gorgeous!

Snakeskin is the new leopard. ;) These are gorgeous heels! I just ordered a pair of low heeled slingbacks from Talbots in the same print - I can hardly wait to break them out for spring.
ReplyDeleteOoh, you're right, snake is like the more warm-weather version of the animal print. I think I may need to find myself more snake print ...
DeleteGreat shoes!
ReplyDeleteThose snakeskin print pumps are gorgeous! I love the color of your skirt you paired them with too!

Note to self and everyone else - a windy day is not so awesome to be wearing a chiffon skirt. Going out for lunch was not an adventure I'd like to relive!
DeleteLove that they are so versatile!

Wow! Great choice! I love the snakeskin!
ReplyDeleteI have a very similar pair of heels but in a goldish snakeskin, they are, hands down, my favorite pair of heels. Wise investment, methinks!

Never thought about the versatility of a snake print but you're right, they kind of surprisingly go with everything!
Deletei love the color of your skirt!
ReplyDelete(today no comment about the wonderful shoes ;-)

Gorgeous new shoes! I bought a pair of snakeskin shoes last summer and they have been surprisingly versatile. They're a great replacement for nude pumps (that I don't have).
ReplyDeletePS - Love your hair today!
I am actually on the hunt for a pair of nude pumps and just returned a pair before I got these (there was a stiletto and a platform - suddenly being in heels made me fearful of heights), and you're right, they are like a great neutral. I may be sporting these a ton ...
DeleteYour legs look AMAZING. Seriously. The shoes are worth it for that alonE!
ReplyDeleteThanks for reviewing these...I'd been considering them myself, great price, but I held off because I wasn't entirely convinced by the product shots. Now that I see them on you, I'll probably bite.
Love the shoes that you chose...so mulch fun!
ReplyDeleteAwesome pumps, and cute outfit!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, these shoes are to die for and the style is totally you Lisa!! And I must add that your outfit is so pretty...loving the colors you put together!!
ReplyDeleteThe pumps are awesome. Surprised you said they are super-comfy. I'm still very new to the concept of the "club" purchasing of jewelry, shoes etc. I know you can cancel the subscription any time but just the commitment to " browse" every month could be hard work.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't spend the entire day walking around in them, because they are a 4" after all, but for a 4" heel, they are comfy. I don't know if it is the leather or what, but I didn't get the "shoes too tight, need to stretch them out" feeling when I initially put them on, and the padding helped. Granted, I have a desk job!
DeleteLove a great snake print on a shoe ;) I'm with you though, almost never wear anything higher than a 3" but a platform in the front definitely helps!
ReplyDeleteI love a platform because it's extra cushioning, but there's something more secure to me about not having a platform - like my feet are closer to the ground so I feel more steady kind of thing. I know, it's mental!
DeleteGreat choice! The snakeskin print is definitely very versatile and it looks great with your outfit. Your skirt is very ladylike and pretty too. :)
ReplyDeleteLove from the NaNa girls x
Pretty! The print is awesome as its not a in your face snakeskin print. Your skirt is cute and bright, love the color.
ReplyDeleteThat is one gorgeous skirt. Love it!

Hey pretty in pink! Thanks for the breakdown on Style Mint for shoes. The skirt looks awesome. I tried it w/a shirt tied at the waist. I think that's one of the best ways to wear it.
ReplyDeleteMy skirt sits at the high waist for me, so while I like that it defines my waist and helps it to look smaller (I think), I have trouble figuring what to wear with it. It's gotta be tucked or tied, I think.
DeleteI love the F 21 stud :) and those shoes are pretty cool. I don't have any snake skin things except my sunglasses case ;)

Lovely post, like your outfit!

Very pretty shoes. I've been getting their emails but haven't taken the plunge yet...
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is lovely and although I'm not a huge fan of animal prints I like the shoes. I think it's because they are almost a neutral color. You look very pretty in these pics.
ReplyDeleteThanks much! I had been looking for a pair of neutral shoes and never thought of snake as a neutral, but they work!
Deleteoooh, dying over the colors in this outfit! I'm not usually a pink kind of girl, but this spring it has become my new obsession. The snake skin shoes are the perfect touch.
ReplyDeleteps--your Rachel Zoe comment made my day. ba-na-nas ;)
Ooooh, I love those shoes! Now that I know Steve Madden makes ShoeMint I may have to check them out. Your outfit screams spring and I can't wait until it get here. :)
