Pop Ya Collar, Don't Let 'Em Sweat You

Report from the homefront: BF decided to not kennel the pup while he was away at work the other day because he didn't want her stuck in a little box for eight hours. And then completely ate his thoughts when he got home because our pup got up on the kitchen counters and BF's home office desk and apparently ate everything else.

Like a box of stale Krispy Kremes. And a box of baking soda - or rather, the box around the baking soda. A leather portfolio. A notebook, including the notes part. Pretty much all of BF's business cards. A plastic cup. An entire bottle of vitamins. The labels off of the BF's medications. Kitchen towels - apparently all of them. My suede Coach hobo, which was a gift from the BF.

It seems like Pacey may be living in the kennel full-time now.

This is me and we, over the weekend, pre-Coach:

  1. LOVE that skirt and green is a fabulous color on you!

So sorry to hear about the dog getting "hungry". Ugh!

Come take a look inside A Working Mom's Closet

  3. Oh no! I'm sorry your pup got into things. We've lucked out in the pup department when it comes to chewing things. Izzy's a sock girl and goes into trash cans, but that's really it. They both spend the days with free reign in the house and we've not had any real issues.

You look so cute today! I'm seriously needing those shoes. I keep loading them into my shopping cart and then not pressing Submit!

  4. Oh my...the pup would be looking for a new home if he were mine! :) hahaha

  6. Puppies are darling but can get into some trouble! hopefully nothing destroyed was irreplaceable.

I love ebates too, although I am doing my best to curb my shopping in general. I have found that the more I buy, the more I want to buy, but once I stop, it's easy not to buy. Is that weird logic or what?

  7. I love Ebates! I should add a banner to my own blog professing my Ebates love, haha! And I am so jealous of your Dorrie skirt -- your outfit looks so cute and preppy! The sandals are a lot of fun, too. And YIKES -- it sounds like Pacey had himself a grand ol' time while you were both out -- sorry to hear about all that damage! Yeesh!

  8. Oh my goodness, I can't believe the mess that Pacey made. Yikes. Love this skirt and I'm going to check out Ebates (hopefully it is an international service).

  9. You look so happy and carefree in those pictures... but that was before the disaster! I hear you on naughty dogs, we always put our dog in a little kennel whenever we leave. I think if you always do it they just accept it. I am sorry about the hurricane coming through I hope you are able to clean up and keep the dog;)!

  10. I am envious of your Dorrie skirt. I tried it on in that exact color and loved it but forgot what it was called til now. I might have to buy it this week. You look fantastic!

  16. Oh dear! Bad pacey! I guess thats one reason why we are pet-less. You look preppy chic in our RL green polo!

  17. WOW! That is one misbehaving puppy- how horrible in reality (and hilarious online)- I'm so sorry for your poor purse (I mean, I would eat the stale donuts too but while I frequently find purses 'delicious'...um, yes)

The Dorrie in this colour (and orange of course) is VERY high on my want list, but I just am not allowing myself to go near the website or promos for awhile!

  18. Oh no, I'm sorry to hear about the purse being eaten and dog going wild. Is Pacey okay since she ate all that stuff?

On a positive note you look great, I love your sandals and kelly green is a beautiful color on you.

  19. Awwhh poor Pacey has been a bad girl!! She's looking up at you with such love and admiration too. I bet it just tore her up to have you mad at her! :( But don't get me wrong, Ruby messes with my shoes or purses, she will be forever afraid of me!

  20. No, not the COACH! : ( It's hard to be mad at them though when they're so cute...

  21. Oh no! I can totally relate. Having 3 dogs, I have been through it all! I have come home to so many different disasters (ripped up kitchen floor, open refrigerator with ALL of the food either eaten or thrown around the house, chocolate bars from our vacation to france devoured in about 1 second which resulted in a trip to the emergency vet clinic, etc. etc. etc.). I could write a book! Of course it's impossible to be mad at them. I guess you just have to laugh:)

  22. Aww bad doggie. Have you thought of using baby gates to keep the dog out of certain rooms (or in certain rooms)? There are some big fancy ones designed for dogs that you install permanently, with built-in doors so the humans can walk through easily. I could not have survived 14 years with a hungry Dalmatian without a lot of gates! (Just have to be careful to get one with narrow enough bars that the dog doesn't get her silly head stuck.)

  23. Someone was busy while you were gone. Funny from where I sit, but probably not so much for you.

Looking good in the Dorrie :)

  24. Oh Lisa! So sorry! Pacey probably thought your bag was a chewey toy. Did she get sick from eating all that stuff.

No one can make a Polo look as good as you. And your Seychelles are divine.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yea! Blogger's finally letting me comment! Oh boy, that doggie is in the serious doghouse. Pacey, Pacey, Pacey....It's a good thing she's darn cute!! We've had a destructo dog before...used to swallow my hair scrunchies (like early 90's hair scrunchies) whole!! Corners of our furniture would be gnawed off...trash gotten into. you name it. But a coach?! for the love....
Your fearless popped collar has me inspired, girl! Loving the nod to vintage polo-land! you're rocking it, as usual.

  27. Looks like Blogger ate my last comment on this post! I was saying: Have you tried baby gates/dog gates? They are excellent for keeping hungry little dogs out of rooms (or in certain rooms).

  28. Oh no!!! I dont' even know what I'd do. Seriously, that SUCKS. As a joke, when my dog misbehaves my husband and I will say "that's it Bailey, we're selling you to the butcher!" LOL

Love the outfit! The shirt looks adorable on you...love the popped collar.

  29. Whoa! Was Pacey okay after gobbling all that?
