I'm back, ladies! I don't know how you gals deal with blog absences, but as slammed as I was this past week and barely had the time to even go online at all, I couldn't help but feel twinges of blog break guilt over leaving you gals - no blogging and no blog reading makes Lisa something something ... I'll be catching up with all your blogs over the next few days!

I spent this past week in the sunny seashores of Miami Beach - and boy, is the locale awesome. I wish I could've spent more time enjoying myself but I had about two hours of combined free time this whole week and this lady is so not beachwear ready anyways. I did manage some sun-time though, except I didn't get any tanner and only managed to double the number of freckles on my face (is that just considered concentrated tanning?).

Above is a "recap" of one of my outfits during some downtime, and below are some random pics from the week:

  4. Welcome back, I missed you! Your photos are amazing... looks like it was a great time! BTW, LOVE your outfit, it is so fresh and summery. Your necklace kind of reminds me of the Gilded Impatiens necklace from Anthro, which I've been looking for for ages!

  22. YAY! You're back :) This outfit is so cute and perfect for suntime in Miami. Sometimes shorts can not be very flattering, but these shorts look great on you. You're legs are smokin'! And the photo of the bottle of tequila is hilariou. Don Julio is better though :P

  23. Welcome home Lisa,

I adore the City Cousin top on you. I want so badly to wear something White, refreshing and flowy like this. But unfortunately I would end up looking fat. Not pregnant thought, since I'm obviously too old. The animal print easily slides right into this combination. But it's the Mustard Yellow Sandals that hold this City Safari look together. And no I don't mean your belt. Haha!

Repeat Three Times. Freckles are Awesome!

  29. Thanks for your comments, ladies! It feels strange to not have been blogging for a while, but it has been hard to get back into the swing of the things too! There's so much catching up to do that I am feeling the "I'm so behind" anxiety!

modernmom - oh you guys are going to love Miami! It does kind of feel like a mini sea-side version of Vegas with all the bling, but more laidback with the beach. And of course they've got an Anthro on Lincoln Road Mall!

Jan Russell - I can't actually go to a resort, at least I can look it, haha! All I need is an actual tan now!

Laura - I didn't even have the city cousin top on the radar but I spotted it in store and fell in love! I think it is faintly maternity-esque, but I too had visions of breezy white linen for the hot summer days so I couldn't resist. Plus this kept me cool in hot Miami!

Melanie - haha, not Patrone but I think I had my share of white rum! But shoot, I've seen loads of empty beer cans on the side of the street, but never a emptied out bottle of Patron - that's stuff is expensive!

Fashion Therapist - I wish I had more free time in Miami - it seems like a really cool town and I would've loved the opp to explore it more!

  30. I think your freckles are so cute!!!

I've been to Miami once and it rained pretty much the entire trip. Your pictures are gorgeous and kind of make me want to go back.

Love the shorts outfit, it looks so incredibly summery. All that's missing is a straw hat. :)
