Forever Plaid

I love that it feels like fall is finally hitting the SE! Granted it was 80 degrees on Saturday, but for GA, that is a huge temperature difference and I felt inspired to break out some new fall gear from one of my fave cheapie trend stores. It wasn't cool enough for tights yet, but I can't wait to wear these shorts with black tights and booties. And plaid may become my fall gingham replacement.

Top: Forever 21 H81 brushed plaid
Shorts: Forever 21 wool blend
Belt: J. Crew elastic blossoms (worn here and here before - similar online here or more subtly here)
Shoes: Artisan by Clarks Herring bow flats (similar online here or here)

  2. Oh my gosh, that's super cute! Way to rock the plaid shirt! I usually feel like I look like a lumberjack when I wear one, and not in a good way either. That belt is adorable too! Glad its cooling down for you too. I hope you have a great week! :)

  4. The plaid with the shorts is a perfect mix of rough and feminine! I love it. I think you may have convinced me to try the shorts and tight trend. Those F21 shorts are so cute and look great on you!

  8. You have totally mastered the button-down shirt, the plaid is every bit as cute as your gingham was this summer! What a great F21 find, I'm loving the colors! I'll bet it feels great to be home, I hope you enjoyed your weekend.

  11. Very cute outfit Lisa!
I'm loving plaid right now too. I like how you used a floral belt to make it look a touch feminine - nice! The grey shorts match the shirt perfectly too.

  17. Oh man, I wish it were 80 degrees. It's down to the low 50s here and I am COLD. And...I want everything in this outfit. The mix of plaid and wool is so perfect, and the floral belt gives it a pretty little kick. I had a similar pair of shorts from Anthro but they sat in my closet for 6 months because they were just a smidge small. Why do I have runner's thighs even though I don't run anymore : (

Thanks so much for your comments on my Dagmar dress. In case you DO wanto to try tracking it down, I saw a few in the Princeton, NJ store last week. They had tons of 0s and 2s. : )

  19. Thanks for your comments, ladies! I have to admit I've never done the wool shorts for fall or winter before but I am now a big fan! I need to get more shorts!

Jan - I'm so glad to be home! I slept like the dead this weekend!

Marie - you crack me up, but I totally agree! Gotta be careful about the plaid print and cut of the shirt or else you've into lumberjack or tablecloth territory!

Jamie - don't tempt me with the Dagmar dress! I never thought much of it until I saw it IRL - it really is a gorgeous and quality piece.
