Air Show Fun - and Other People's Giveaways

Greetings from home! Oh, it is so nice to sleep in my own bed - I was out like the dead last night! So of course after a long week away, it makes total sense to spend the day away at a local air show.

North GA gals, the Wings Over Atlanta air show also runs on Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Canadian Snowbirds, Sean D. Tucker and the Blue Angels will all be performing - plus there are tons of aircraft on display, food and other activities. The entire population of Atlanta was seemingly in attendance (but that's part of the fun, right? :oP ) and I am burnt like heck - but I totally recommend attending and bringing the fam if you're close. Plus admission and parking is free, and I like free!

Here's a medley of badly-taken photos from the show:

Because animal print is IN right now.

  11. Thanks for your comments, gals!

Jen - I wish I had a cooler hat than just a baseball cap. Too bad it didn't provide me with the side head protection I needed - all looking up at the sun the whole time to watch the air show got gave me a funny burn from the nose down!

Laura - I am sunburned and dead tired today! Usually after a trip I like nothing better than a lazy day at home watching TV and doing laundry!

curls-and-pearls / 20 York Street - the Snowbirds were pretty awesome! Sure they don't get to fly the super bad fighter jets, but they make up for it in showmanship and precision.

Melanie - I bet Andrews has some good air shows. I think they're really fun but I sure wouldn't want to go to them all the time. The heat, the walking, the crowds, yikes!
