Chilling Out Maxing Relaxing All Cool

Hey ladies, just a heads up that posting and commenting may be a bit sporadic over the next few days and through the weekend because I'm taking a psuedo-stay-vacation. Psuedo because during this time I'm going to be paying my fam a visit in NYC and then the grams a visit in DC. So pretty much when I'm back at work next week I can get some sleep!

The BF and I are both playing hooky today so I'm super-cas. We'll both be packing (he's going to see his fam in TN over the long weekend), walking a quick 2-mile trail near our home, and paying Mr. Ikea a visit. Then Thursday (Anthro sale day hopefully!), I'll be jetting off - so stay away hurricanes!

Do any of you have any plans over the Labor Day weekend? Will you guys be off doing exciting things or laying low and chilling out?

Top: Target slub tee (find them in the sleepwear section - love them!)
Skirt: J. Crew cotton pin-striped (worn here and here before)
Shoes: Kenneth Cole Reaction Pine-A-Colada (worn here, here and here before)
Necklace: Laila Rowe

  2. Such a cute summer outfit, that J. Crew skirt is just adorable...question, is it supposed to sit that low on your waist?

  13. Oooo...a Stay-cation. I love those. I've booked next week off to be back home, and aside from trek to south of border for shopping, will be having a stay-cation myself: attending BBQs, a wedding, and driving support for my cyclist BF on a 120KM (about 74.5 miles) ride.

    Have yourself a great break!

  14. And now I'll have the fresh prince song in my head all day. Thanks for that. ;)

You look so stinkin' cute in that outfit! I love the skirt!

My plans involve trips to the in-laws (tripS because they're divorced. MIL is remarried.) Not really my idea of fun, but at least I'll be with my husband and our girl, and not at work!

Hope you have a fun and safe trip!!!

  24. Hi Elle - This skirt does look like it sits awful low, doesn't it? Actually, it hits me right at the navel - it is just close-fitting from the waist to the hips, then flares out a bit. Kind of weird, but I dig it!

  25. Is it bad that I'd love to play hooky from my stay-at-home-mom job? hahaha! love your outfit, girl! that's totally my style - always casual and comfortable.

this weekend my sister is coming down to visit. my daughter is turning 3 on sunday, so we're going to have a little cake and hopefully get out and have some fun :) my husband has to work though, so that's a big bummer. but we're planning on doing a family trip to the zoo in a few weeks when he's got more time off.

  28. Have a fantastic long weekend with your family!! How lucky you are to be spending the long weekend in NYC. I had plans to go to Montreal this weekend, but something unexpected came up :(

  29. Lisa, how are you girlie?! :) Lookin' fab as always I see.

Well, this weekend (Sat), the hubby and I celebrate 11 years of "togetherness". It doesn't even seem that long, but I guess when you're totally in love and having fun, time flies by. :) On Sunday, we're going to our godson 7th birthday party. He's going to be 7!!! I can't believe it. I still remember holding him when he was just one day old. I'm geting ooooooooooooold. ha ha. Kidding.

Well, I hope you have tons of fun visiting with family. :) And fun at Anthro too! I seriously need to email them and tell them they need to open up shop on Maui!

    xx Love & Aloha
