Ruffled Peonies Seeing the Light of Day

Dinner tonight and one more meeting tomorrow before it is homeward bound for me. Though I love what I do for work and have had a satisfying week, there's nothing like going home for some "veg time." I  already have a date set with the BF to cuddle on the couch watching Netflix movies and chomping on takeout pizza from The Vintage. In my pajama bottoms and a soft slubby tee. With my stuffed sheep named Sheep.

What do you look forward to when you've been away from home for a while?

Sweater: J. Crew Sunshine Peony cardigan
Top: J. Crew Evie silk ruffled
Trousers: The Limited
Shoes: Sofft Vivian
Belt: Target

On another note, if you liked the idea of the Time Gone By Dress by Maeve but wanted something with more modern styling, check this out:

Hello - LOVE!

  1. I wasn't a big fan of that dress but I really like the loft version!
I have a stuffed lamb named lamby. We are so original!

  2. Oooh, that Ann Taylor dress is fantastic!!! Oh my.

And I hope you enjoy all the comforts of home once you're there. :-)

  3. I like to change into my yoga pants and a tee shirt and knit while listening to a book on CD. I look forward to these kind of nights too. :)

  4. I love Ann Taylor and I want your cardigan, so pretty!:D

...and everything girly under the sun!

  5. OH WOW THAT DRESS. I am SO going to look for it in the stores! And hooray for the peony cardigan! It makes me happy, haha! I look forward to pretty much the same things you look forward to when it comes to returning home after a long stint away -- except replace Sheep the stuffed sheep with Potato the stuffed wombat.

  6. LOVE your ootd. You look so professional and chic. I really need someone like you in my office to inspire me.

  7. Your stuffed sheep named Sheep, lol!

Enjoy your last night and have a safe trip home.

Please come join my *Cupcake Challenge*, I promise it will be loads of fun!!

  8. The first thing I like to do when I get home from being away is throw the laundry down the laundry shoot, take a nice long hot shower, put on cozy clothes and relax on the sofa and catch up on DVR. Safe travels!

    oooh, and love that cardigan!

  9. Love love your outfit today! Those Evie tanks are so perfect!

That dress is perfection. Sigh. Good thing it's not on sale!

  10. I definitely put luggage in the corner and try to relax asap. :-) You look good in the cardi.

  11. I always look forward to my own bed. Very cute cardigan!

    xoxo, Ashley

  12. Love your OOTD and that Loft dress - wowie PRETTY!!!

I never go anywhere...sigh...glad you'll be home with bf and sheep soon ;)

  13. Love the Sunshine Peony print! I have the skirt and am kicking myself for not grabbing the cardi.

I used to travel SO much for work. Since I had the kids, though, I pointedly asked NOT to travel. Thank goodness my boss is accommodating. I am heading out this Sunday, though, for a conference in Vegas, but DH and the kids are coming with me, so it's not really like I'm getting away. LOL!

  14. you look great - I love the cardi!

  15. That loft dress is fabulous! I covet it.

I definitely look forward to hanging on the couch with my hubs and my dog after I've been gone for a while.

  16. Spiffy - Ha ha, I also have a stuffed cow named "Moo."

Thanks, Breanne, Marie, Pamela, Peggy, Gigi, Ashley!

Ady - Yes, comfort and quiet are key!

Amy - Stuffed wombat! That sounds kind of awesome ...

Aw, thanks, Melanie. Then you should NOT see me on the days I DON'T take pics! :o)

Thanks, OneCraftyFox! Already participated in the challenge, though I think my originality is lacking. ;o\

Jan - Funny bc my BF's mom always tells me she wants my job bc then she could travel - and I sometimes wish I didn't have to travel! Grass always looks greener ...

Michelle - Have fun in Vegas! Awesome that you'll be able to have the fam with you.

La Historiadora - Oh if I could only have a dog to complete my perfect idea of comfort and hominess!

Thanks for visiting, Destined For Now!
