The Kraft Macaroni Blues

I've got a case of the Mondays ...

Reason #1 - It's Monday.

Reason #2 - BF left earlier this morning to go on a business trip and he'll be gone all week and this will be the first time I'll be here in our new home by myself. Yes, scaredy cat anxiety ensues.

Reason #3 - Our HOA hired folks to do exterior work on all the brownstones this week and the workers conveniently decided to locate their unofficial HQ right outside my house - which means the giant 30' ladder is right outside my office window and secured to my balcony. I am probably the only person who works from home in this whole row of brownstones and you guys put your crap right next to my window. My poor new plant babies are greatly displeased.

Reason #4 - Reason #3.

So seeing how I'll probably have little reason to leave the house today except for some errands but I didn't want to be a total shlep, here's my super-casual Monday outfit. I "fancied it up" by wearing a necklace - woo hoo.

Vest: Wet Seal double panel knit
Top: Old Navy
Belt: Anthropologie Infinity, worn here and here before
Jeans: Gap Long & Lean (cropped)
Sandals: Indigo by Clarks Edamame
Necklace: Urban Outfitters stone bib (no longer online, maybe still in stores)

  2. It is so hard to work with racket going on outside! Maybe you could call the HOA and ask them to get the workers to move?

I love that vest. It's pretty and unusual.

  4. that is the cutest work-at-home outfit ever. that necklace is a great, better-done version of anthro's tear drop necklace that had fat jersey straps? did you ever see that one? much prefer this one's more streamlined shape.

  5. Thanks, Peggy. I know I'll be fine but Big House, Little Lisa.

Thanks, Lady Cardi. They finally moved the ladder when they were done hauling whatever they were hauling to the roof. But it's like 10 hours later and these guys are still out there power washing the brick. Ugh.

Thanks so much, Alicia and spiffy!

I think you're talking about the Stormy Seas necklace, Kcookski. I searched long and hard for that necklace and actually got this UO one as a stand-in. But I totally agree, I think I like this one better - much more wearable and subtle in a good way.

  6. I do like the Urban version of the necklace! It's not as gigantic and overwhelming. And geez, what a Monday you had!
