It's More Than a Feeling

I'm glad I have you fella bloggers out there for fashionable inspiration because lately I kind of feel like my low light is on and am lacking motivation on the styling front (Stare at closet - scratch head - throw pieces on to bed to compare - scratch head - repeat).

So I took a cue from the ever-fashionable Rosa from Love at First Shop in her post here and tried a timeless pairing - a classic white shirt with a fullish skirt. Probably a little more dressed up than I need to be for hump day, but I do feel better - and spring-y.

Yes, I noticed that I am strangely over-zealously pose-y today too. I blame the skirt.

Shirt: Banana Republic white cotton safari, worn here before
Skirt: New York & Co. abstract print
Belt: Urban Outfitters Deena & Ozzy stretch
Necklace: Urban Outfitters stone bib, worn here before (and lots more before that)
Shoes: Nine West Temani patent wedges

I totally agree with Tippy, it's OK to dress for hump day - or for any day or any occassion.

    Thanks for visiting, Mel!

Peggy, thanks! Is it weird that I feel giddy? That was my first out-of-my-own-blog experience!

  14. Nice find on that skirt! Whenever I go to NY&Co they seem to be having some kind of 50% off everything sale but then I feel overwhelmed and can't find anything. And I really need to get myself a white shirt.

  18. Thanks for visiting, Jessica, Phuong, OneCraftyFox & Khatu. Oh if I could be as classically chic as Carolina all the time!

e - I'm kind of the same way about NY&Co too - but I saw this online and "happened" to be at the mall the next day ...

Robyn - I got this during the 50% off sale too! I almost couldn't!

I definitely appreciate the fashionable inspirations - especially from you, Dea and Jinah!
